I Wish I Could Sell Bounties...

...to Bounty Agencies. Like collections agencies who buy debt at a low price then attempt to collect on it themselves, I would like to be able to sell bounties from systems I can't be bothered to visit to agencies who would pay half, or a quarter of the bounty and then cash it in at the appropriate system. This could be additional player interaction or handled entirely by NPCs.

Buy a sidewinder and crash yourself to get rid of them...

I think he's referring to bounties he has claimed, not that are on his head. And if so, I agree, it's a pain to have to visit a specific system, especially if the station is 5,000 Ly from the star. :)

Stopped using KWS just because of the time it takes to cash them in. 150LY from both Empire and Alliance space. Just a nuisance. Maybe when I focus on Elite combat rating, but no thank you for now...

To add to the idea, along with selling to authorities for a low percentage, you should be able to also post an advert to sell them yourself and set the % cut. These could appear in the BB at stations and can be accepted by other players.

How will that help people who play self imposed (for the time being until FD get their act together) Iron Man

Personally I would like the option to delete / forget bounties I am no longer interested in collecting ... Either cash it or lose it, basically.

Yes! I was going to post this exact thought, but you beat me to it. It'd be an excellent example of player-to-player missions. It'd also open a new profession - buying bointies cheap, then making the trek to the destination system to cash in. Would be good for new players or those who like sight seeing.

I think the game needs a lot more (read: any - we have none currently) of this type of "p2p" interaction.

A lot of the time you can claim kws bounties in the station you're docked in. They changed it so you can claim a federation, alliance or empire bounty anywhere that has a minor faction for any of the major factions.

But I agree, it's still a pain.

Bounty brokers would be a good way about this. It's also a way of sidestepping the annoyance of not knowing which system you got bounties in for local hand ins.

Like a debt collection agency but for bounties.

The least the devs could do is to add a system name where a specific group is located to your transactions tab. Maybe even have an option to have your bounties (collectable and gained) show up on the galaxy map. Wouldn´t be too hard to do and with a simple on/off switch you could turn them off if they clutter the map. It's stupid to have several millions of credits available to you, but not knowing where to collect. The big faction bounties are easy enough, but there are plenty of factions that don´t have the system name in them.

I like this idea. We definitely need more P2P trading type interaction rather than blowing each other up or teaming up to blow up someone else.

Would be a relatively simple addition (probably no so much on the coding side lol) that could add another fun avenue for credit earning.

If you put up an advert, then multiple players could accept, but only one could hand them in (first back gets the reward). If a player cashes it in when advert is up then they get charged a fee for the advert but it then gets cancelled (and ended in any players mission list as unavailable).
