My question is exactly as it is in the title: what grinds your gears? What makes you anything from slightly frustrated to extremely annoyed? Obviously, I'll kick it off.
Player Groups: Not necessarily the organization or the action of the players, but the effect they have on instancing. When I fly into Diso lately, all I get is 5 fps and about a hundred billion NPCs trying to do the riverdance, all spawned to keep up with the amount of players in the area. It starts getting annoying after 5 players i nan instance, and gets horrifying at 9 or so.
The Mass-Lock System: Why is it that a Cobra weighs more than a Type 6, yet cannot mass-lock it? Why is mass-lock so black and white? Shouldn't the total mass within a certain distance of your vessel be the factor which determines how slow you charge the FSD? It's annoying when one Cobra can't stop a Type 6, the only target which would make sense for a Cobra to pirate, without uber-expensive railguns (for a pirate's salary), but when four Cobras are chasing a Type 6 and can't stop the without killing him, it gets a little ridiculous.
Interdiction Modules: Very little (read: no) explanation as to what the difference between E2 and A2 is, for example, and just the fact that there are different interdiction modules. I would much prefer a three modules, each tuned for a specific type of ship, so a large-ship interdictor, small-ship interdictor, and medium-ship interdictor.
All These Mosquitoes: There are too many mosquitoes where I live
So, what grinds your gears?
