V1292 scorpii - Binary Black Hole:
Awesome lensing effect seen from 12k Ls away. Notice how the section of the galactic plane inside the lens is inverted in relation to the plane outside the lens. Nice to see that double lensing works in this game :)

I shall wait till you post it(and a few words too) :)

So here we go:

Maia

From Wikipedia:
Maia (20 Tauri) is a star in the constellation Taurus. It is the fourth brightest star in the Pleiades open star cluster (M45), after Alcyone, Atlas and Electra, in that order. The name Maia originates with the Greek: Μαῖα and Latin: Maia. She is one of the seven daughters of Atlas and Pleione in Greek mythology—stars which are also included in the Pleiades star cluster (see map). Maia is a blue giant of spectral type B8 III, and a mercury-manganese star.]

In ED:
Maia, a star in the centre of the Pleiades Nebula is a class B6 III star about 360 LY away from Sol. It forms a binary with a small black hole. Besides of these major objects the system contains an M-Star, 6 brown dwarfs, 3 Gas Giants a few metal rich planets and numerous moons.

Some nice additions since I looked at it last time!
Little correction, I only took the screenshot for 4 Cygni. If I remember right it's also in the record book, so you should be able to find who did the first discovery there.

I visited 4 Cygni last night after looking at this thread and was shocked to find that about 1/3 of the bodies were undiscovered. There were a couple of high-metal planets and several of the T Tauri stars in the system that had gone unscanned. I can only assume I wasn't the first to scan them and that others just haven't made it back to inhabited space yet.

Thanks so much for the mention! +Rep for you!

I don't know the ins and outs of this game as well as most others, but I do enjoy every bit of exploration I've done, even the monotonous bits. I haven't had dreams of "Frame Shift Drive Charging" yet, so that's a good sign... I've started my own stream on Twitch, just in case I find anything truly noteworthy to share with you all. But along with that, I may start writing up some daily logs or a partial roleplay regarding my daily activities. I've got a convention coming up in 2 weeks that is drawing my attention as I prepare for it, so most days the stream won't be active (since I'll be sitting afk and whatnot), but once that's over and done with, I'll be doing a lot more interactive stuff hopefully.

I'm currently on my way to visit a nebula that I haven't picked up in any of the threads so far. It looks like it may be a dangerous venture as it is in the dark part of space, perhaps Badlands... We'll see. I've a good ways to go still.

Neh, doggy, can you update the link for my thread and add my stream to it? O:

<3

I need more people to check it out when it's running and let me know if there is trouble viewing it. According to some others the feed is choppy.

Are exploration video diaries allowed?

I've got 3 to add if you're interested:

New Horizons : A journey to the Eta Carina Nebula and back during the very early days of exploration (Nov. 3300 - Dec 3300)

Distant Suns : An epic quest to reach the most Distant Suns in the galaxy, 65,000 LYs away (Dec. 3300 - Feb. 3301)

Daedalus Wing : Discovering the mysteries of the Perseus Arm, and beyond the fabled Formidine Rift (Mar. 3301 - May 3301)

I doubt anyone will ever say no to you and your wonderful videos(love the directing of them) :D
I shall start a new section for video diaries.
(In a few minutes, I am approaching a far off star and don't want to over shoot it :) )
