Would love to see Vulture NPC's at RES's

Please FD, do this for us so we can have more fun.

That's all I wanted to say.

:)
Hmm, the NPC vultures in conflict zones are pushovers just like the rest of them. I worry what will happen when they make the NPCs fight a lot harder. Or equip their ships better. Or *shudder* both...

BH will be more of a scavenging off system security instead of practically taking it all out by myself with just an upgraded Cobra and sub targeting their power plant.

They simply set up their spawn table system wrong. Instead of having a generic pirate table that applies to everywhere, it seems that each location has their own spawn table, so adding Vultures as pirate ships is considerably more work because of that mistake.

Vultures don't make much sense at a RES - unless they're bounty hunters, at which point they won't be wanted. In a decent combat configuration, they don't have the cargo space for piracy so there wouldn't be a point.

FDLs, on the other hand...definitely.

I agree. Been a lot to RES and NAV points and haven´t seen 1 Vulture or FDL. It feels to scripted at the moment. It needs to be more random, because it seems RES are the most popular for bounty hunting right now, well along with conflict zones I guess.

It doesn't need to be random, it needs to have ships that should plausibly be there. As somebody else has asked in this thread, why would Vultures be at a RES? They don't have the cargo space to mine or pirate.

Also...you wouldn't want Vultures at a RES, because in any realistic setting they'd be cleaning up all the bounties you want for yourself ;)

Then why are Eagles & Vipers at RESs they have less cargo than the Vulture?

2 Vultures could easily support an Anaconda or Python picking of targets in a wing, while the bigger ship scoops the cargo. Though this is a little bit more advanced AI than we have seen till now I guess. Ive just tried the Vulture in Alpha once so I really dont know much about it other than its a great fighter. I guess a Vulture have some cargo space if its not fully upgraded. Even a Sidewinder have some cargo space. :p

Adding Vultures to RES's would certainly add the Dangerous to Elite:Dangerous, especially if they were in a wing a 3 or more!

Vulture can downsize shield, carry 32t cargo slot. Perfect for piracy.

Realistically pirates would fly in small wings with one transport/multirole with big cargo space and couple bullies that force the target to relinquish their cargo. Single pirates in tiny ships threatening combat fitted pythons and anacondas makes zero sense from immersion viewpoint. :)

Even with a full shield they can take a 16t cargo bay, which can be upgraded to 20t without too much sacrifice.
It's obviously not huge, but it's better than the Viper or Eagle.

Exactly. We need Vultures and FDLs at RES points. And make some of them Elite and aggressive. Right now RES feel scripted and not very dangerous. Excellent though for making credits. But keep the bounties but rise the danger of being in a RES. I want Elite to be Dangerous again. Right now its more like a grind. Fun, entertaining and rewarding but lacking that fear factor which made beta/alpha better in that field. I want it to be risky again. I remember in Alpha or Beta getting interdicted by 3 Sidewinders with Rail guns. My oh my. I escaped with 1 % hull and rails whisling past my canopy. I had to change my trousers after that event :D Maybe its much to ask but I miss such moments. :)
