Jordan, as much as i respect your crusade, i don't care about it anymore.
You won't convince me and you will never understand my point of view.

All we do in here is making safe that the "opposite side" doesn't get more vocal or has the last word in it.

Sad but true. :(

Exactly why I'm here.

I addressed that already:

Although, they would have to have a way to make sure the person doesnt buy the trade in open, log into solo, go to CG station, Log back into open to make the trade. Im sure they could come up with a way to "tag" the client each time you login to a mode, and if that "tag" changed since you bought the goods then the trade (or kill) wont count.

I think they do tag the clients anyway - hence race to elite and the nvidia cards were open only, so they must know somehow.

I was not the one who brought up the situation in hand, My posting on here was a simple " I think the death tax needs to be altered for some whom are casual" it was the other CMDR who brought up that he had killed me.

Yes i fully admit i foolish playing in open after the experience of buying the ship and it's now why my friends and i play in group. I truely do not think these "so called pirates and greiffers" realize what harm they will do to this game, The casual player will not want to deal with it so they will stick to solo and group.

I didn't bring up that I killed you because I didn't, I brought up that I pirated you and tried to give you valid reasons why.

I don't think I'm doing harm to the game because I'm using the current ingame mechanics to do one of the advertised professions. They advertise piracy on their sales page and have done since day one but they don't advertise trading. I'm not foolish enough to argue against trading as we all know that trading is part of the game but at the same time so is piracy.

Instead of saying that "so called pirates and griefers" are driving people away maybe you could understand that it's FD who are to blame for the unfinished mechanics and consequences, something that the majority of the pirates have been trying to get them to change since beta.

As I said before the only difference between npc and player pirate is that players are a hell of a lot better than it than the npcs.

to answer you with another question...who ever said that one mode should be more advantageous than another? Why can't they be equivalent?

Well realistically how can they be? How can a lone trader in solo ever hope to compete against the game in the same way compared to the overwhelming force of a wing of 4 highly spec'd players in open or group?

Exactly, my idea wasnt to fix all the problems. Jordan has pointed out alot of other areas: i.e. the npc spawns in open - I fully agree that many other areas have to be fixed as well. My idea was solely thought of on a "1 at a time.." mentality to combat the singular complaint of people switching to solo during community goals to get a leg up. one thing at a time. And I know for a fact it wont affect me because I usually play in solo/groups. But, the cool thing about it is if I want to try a CG in open, I go find one and do that one in open this time.
