Selling Universal Cartographics Sucks!

Oh god... I think that would make me ragequit! lol

Selling my data is almost as tedious as traveling back from a 20k LY expedition.

This is the last trip for me unless something changes. Spending days popping into new star systems is not super exciting but sitting here clicking SELL PAGE sucks.

I just came back from a 1000ly trip... it was nice, a lot of untagged systems near the civilized galaxy has my name now, nice.... but I have to agree with you, it was tedious to sell all the data, and my trip was a short trip...

This game sometimes is a pain in the head... so clumsy and tedious... it was like: "you spend a week out there watching countdowns, now I'm going to punish you with more boring tasks if you want the money"

If you have more than a hand full of systems to sell it really, really sucks.

yeah I did a 9000 ly trip out to eta carina and 9000 ly back pre page selling, now that really sucks, at least its a bit faster now at 20 per page per pop,
but I do feel for anyone that has several 100's of systems to sell.

Enty

I'm 45k Ly into a 150K Ly trip. Not looking forward to turning it all in.

I'd like to, at the very least, see a "store data at this station" option. That way, just prior to slitting your own wrists, you could instead opt to go blow stuff up, let off some steam,a nd not risk losing 3 months worth of exploration data...

Yeah, I'm on my way back from Sag A*, so I've had plenty of time to think about how long its going to take me to sell this data 20 at a time..

The part that really bugs me, is not having better summary statistics or metrics to glory over. And the Record Book should be integrated.

And in the Galaxy Map, if I could have a filter to colorize all the systems I've visited, that would be RAD.

I suspect such things *may* be planned, and would be very cool. I'd still like a better way to deal with my data. Either a way to safely store it between selling stints, or an automated selling script built in so I could just press "Sell' prior to going to sleep, and it can deal with the hours of selling whilst I sleep...

Oh god yea... Lots of discoveries. I went to the galactic core and back. I only pointed my ship at water undiscovered planets I thought were interesting. I was wanting to discover some black holes and that seemed like the best way to do it. Exploring is fun on the way out. On the way back it get's a bit slow. I did perk up when I started finding already discovered systems as I got closer to SOL.

I took lots of pictures and I'll post some tomorrow. My favorite systems are the ones with multiple stars orbiting really close together. I have a couple pictures of trinary systems with each sun setting against each other.

These two where really close.

Suns rise.

Two new suns orbiting towards their demise.

26,800,000

More than an hour turning it in. LAME!!

How many systems did you sell?

Trying to roughly estimated what my current haul would be worth. I''ve hit 2000 scanned systems, and my guess is, about 500 were worth properly scanning. or were Neutron/black hole systems...

Of course, I'm only 1/3 of the way through my trip. Beta can't come soon enough, I need to shoot something.
I should have equipped my Asp with a mining laser, just to cut chunks of rocks, and watch them float into space...

I didn't bother counting because there was just page after page... Maybe I can give you a rough guess though. I went to the center of the center of the galaxy (20K+ LYs) and only inspected interesting systems. Anything that might be a water or earth like world. Every black hole I could find at the center. All the closely orbiting multi-star systems. I made a little more than 26,800,000 and it took me more than an hour to turn it in.

Getting back was painful. It took me a week of hopping and scooping because the motivation wasn't as high as when I was heading out.
