Thanks for making the video. I enjoy watching these, even tho I don't feel the need to play pirate

I've been lucky so far, had one run in with a pirate (who did similarly good job btw., although I guess I didn't...I was flying an empty T7, was just moving to a new system and was frustrated when he got me. Think I reacted quite harshly...but he was nice enough to let me live).

If you're empty and have low quality cargo then just stop and a Pirate will most likely let you go

I like your videos, but i have to ask. Are quad railguns really worth it for piracy? The ammo costs have to be insane. Also how often do you miss the drives and kill your targets? I prefer a single c3 fixed beam on my clipper, it allows me some precision and doesn't hurt too bad if i miss. Although It makes it hard to go after pythons and condas.

What the hell is with FD's policy on swearing, I mean, this game includes slavery and drug running but swear words on the forum are the end of the world.

Well when you get a hit on 4 rails just removes shields on smaller ships and on bigger ships they can deal enough dps to take out shields before a cell gets used. I like the skill aspect as well and the hitscan nature. The running and ammo costs do suck I agree but for pure stopping power rails can't be beat. Plasma is good though as it can take out subsystems with one hit dependent on class and they decimate shields. They are slow though which is a trade off.

Cannons are also viable but I've not used them much since they nerfed them in beta.

You can't talk or bargain with npcs. You can shoot their drives out and shoot open the cargo hatch though but npcs don't usually carry good cargo.

I always keep my bounty
