Earth Like world that has a moon

If I tab ED out too much, it crashes the graphics layer, eventually. So I do my book keeping on a stack of post-it notes that are susceptible to being soaked with tea. :(

Benefit of a steam user - screenshotting with F12?

There's no way to screenshot for non-steam players?

F10 for regular screenshot, Alt-F10 for super high res screenshot, but that only works in solo.

I fn-f10 on my laptop to get my screenshot saved to file, though after six shots of ELW, i cant be bothered to collect any more - unless they look interesting (like lights showing on the dark side of the ELW).

I just make a note on my phone of the ELW names that are undiscovered, then when i return i'll sell the data & see if i still got first discovered on them

Is there an easy way to get a cut & paste of a system name to put it into Word?

I generally scribble stuff down for route planning etc, but use screenshots to create a record for my memory (interesting planets etc). I prefer Steam's F12 because it plays a sound - F10 doesn't.

Just use EdDiscovery2 - runs in the background, auto logs your systems and you can make notes in the right-hand column. Shazam etc.

Earth Like Worlds with a moon are uncommon, but not unheard of. However, as far as I know, NO ONE has discovered a non terraformed Earth Like Planet with more than one moon. So if you find one with two or more then you've found something extremely rare.

Doesn't seem like they're too common, that's for sure. I've found a bunch of ELWs but only one has had a moon:

Pretty close to home too, you can see Barnard's Loop in the first two shots. The location will remain a secret until I get back though ;)

Currently using BCP ( https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=76081 ), which has a Flight Log that automatically adds the system each time visited, also allows you to select if "Visited/Partial Scan/Full Scan". There's also a Notes tab allowing you to make notes as required.

The Flight Log can also be exported into a number of different formats if you require it.

Regards

Very weird, i read trough this thread before going 2000LY (Only about 1 hour and 20 minutes)
to some nebulae, when i did find not one, but two earth-likes with a moon. (Also found another earthlike without a moon, jeez my luck today)

Coincidence? I think not.

Thanks, but nothing where you can select the system name from the galactic map to reuse? Shame.

EDDiscovery - just click on the cell containing the System Name, CTRL+C and you can paste the system name into whatever you like, Word, file folder names etc. Hell, you can copy and paste the entire log into Excel if you like.

Took me more than 1000 systems to find my first earth like. It did have a moon though (if quite a tiny one, about a fifth the mass of our moon).

Found one today.

Earth small moon.jpg

Bizarrely I took the pic from the moon instead of the Earth-like, however I think I have it on video anyway. The moon itself was 21 days orbit so pretty close to our moon. Obviously the Earth-like must have been a bit smaller in that case, and it was - around half the size of earth I think.

Not sure what the string of stars in the background is, anyone recognise that? Been following me for a few hundred LY at least.
