whats the best fuel scoop grade, and wheres a good place to pick one up?

learning from my last trip, and before I head out again, I want to get the best fuel scoop I can afford. I know the top tiers get stupid expensive ... I'm willing the throw a decent abount of $$ at it, but want to know what the top tier is --- currently running an a5. I was getting about 300/second fill up with 60% heat in my conda on my last trip.

Any leads on where I can pick one up?

my mistake -- I have an A6.
I typically get only close enough that I'm generating 60% heat, then stop. at that distance, the a6 pulls in 300. can I get closer without damaging hull integrity?

You can go up to an a7 on the conda since it has a class 7 internal slot. How you could get to conda ship level without basic ship understanding is beyond me.

Are you sure it is an A6? They cost 29 million and scoop at 878.

D7 costs 1.5 mill and scoops at 712
A7 costs 91 mill scoops at 1245

Most expensive scoop fits the Type-9, Size 8 and scoops at 1680 cost 289 million :/

A7 scoops at around 1250 or so, don't stop just go full speed close to the green line. Anything under 100% heat is safe. My tank is usually full before the FSD has cooled down and heat rarely has time to go over 70% before I'm done. I bought mine at founders world but search in high population hi-tech systems if you don't have access. I think it's 90 million or something like that. ;)

You can go as close as you reach 66% heat. Heat won't rise if you don't give any input/thrusters (yes, maneuvering gives heat).

As was said before... you get damage at 100% heat and up (scaling makes sene, hein? :D)

C7 is the biggest you want for max jump range conda kit. Anything bigger and you can't run the power plant you'll need to get 40ly jump range.

Just try it out in civilization.

My way to scoop is to fly around the star, and have the yellow impact line barely visible at the bottom of my canopy. Then fly around the star. You'll be at max pretty easy.

Just try out damaging your Anaconda.
Fly against the sun. Fly around it until you get out of supercruise. Fly around it scooping.

Avoid the perturbances.

Just do some testdriving and pay the 1 mio needed to repair it. Then you know what you can and can not do before you head out into the void.

you're really on a roll today, aren't you? What on earth do you have against me anyway? Jesus, trolls are out in force today.
I know exactly what the conda supports, whether it is being sold is a differnet story . Like the FSD. I can support an a8, but that doesn't mean its sold.

Maybe you should concentrate on reading the q, rather than jumping down everyone's throat every chance you get?

sorry, tpyo.. that's what I get for using a das keyboard with no keycaps :) ..

Double checked, I have an a4. apologies for writing this down incorrectly .... twice.. .. in the same post ... :).

any leads on where I can get a larger scoop? I'm in xhie and checked andhrimi, netiher had anything larger.

Gliese 868, Groombridge 34, 61 Cygni

btw, largest FSD you can fit on the Conda is 6A

Wow, this is terrible advice.

Can support 7A with 2A, which is what most people run. If you really wanted to run 2D plant, you can set FSD as lower priority than scoop and run 7A that way. Most people don't need FSD when scooping.

Aside from giving terrible advice you are also rude.

Btw, 777driver, I found out that the lightest distributor you can use for a traderconda that still lets you boost is A5 (D6 will not work with full cargo, and D7 is heavier).
