Enjoy a very late night lol. Reccommend you follow the DK2 guide, it takes a little while to set up, but oh boy when you hit the sweet spot!
Oh and one other thing - get hold of the GUI colour changer, the standard colours just don't look right to me in the rift - Green display is my recommendation, but it's a personal thing.
Sat in the Chair - oh yeah and then some. It will be interesting to hear your first impressions.

I keep seeing people say this but mine was a breeze. Install the Oculus software, configure the rift for me (IPD settings, mainly) spark up Elite, switch it over to the Rift (secondary) display and Bingo!
The guides help you improve the visuals, using SweetFX, Nvidia settings, config files and so on to look a LOT better than a standard setup. Highly Recommended!

On a side note expect the unexpected last month kb/m (wireless) stopped so got another one fine, tonight new one stopped, tried wired mouse no joy. Unplugged all with a hard restart! few! back up and running now, just wondering what the Rift is doing to my USB and motherboard?

Always run a powered USB2 hub (not usb3) when using the DK2.
Everything rift wise is into separate m/b usb2s the other ancillaries are on an unpowered usb2, but this time the front usb3s (used for hotas) stopped too. Strange happenings.
3hrs of VR! Abit late for a full on wall of text. First impressions. I sat in my T7 just going to surface and back to hanger for about 30mins absolutely gobsmacked at what i was seeing. Its true, you have to see it. No words or video are close, it really is absolutely amazing. If your playing on a monitor your seeing abt 20% of the game compared to VR. And the virtigo when you come in to land OMG. moooore!!!!!
