Can you be first discoverer for Nebula?

Per title:
Can you be first discoverer for a Nebula?

I can't get to the "center" of the one I'm in, so I'm guessing the answer is "no"

PS Am I'm allowed to take off my explorer noob hat?: I just took a 1400Ly detour for "something shiney!"
(ie the nebula in the first question...which was not the nebula I was headed for, but...what the heck, its only 1400Ly away from where I was going anyways...)

Not of the nebula itself but quite a few have a single star system that essentially is the nebula. BD+50 2869 for example is the one and only system in the Blinking Nebula and CD-36 11341 is the only one in the Bug Nebula.
