It appears that Cmdr Anuranium has been doing some gardening and removed some unpleasant shrubbery. However it's probably worth following Raiko's advice as undoubtedly someone else will try it at some stage

Well sounds like somebody wants to earn himself free drinks for the rest of his life on the Shotgun Shine as well as the other highest honor, a plaque in one of the stalls in the men's room! Attaway, Anuranium! It's rare in this universe we get to see some honest-to-goodness heroics.

As I posted in the explorer's forum, CMDR ElectricZ of the Shipwrecked and Comatose sends his compliments.

Though if Bucky awards you a ride in his Type-8, there's gonna be trouble. I've never been aboard her. :p

The shrubbery in question has posted a video (which I shall not link to) showing Anuranium firing on him, but he decided to commit suicide instead to deny Anuranium a kill. The way he puts it make it sound like he's "bored" and "wants to go home" so he decided to self-destruct.

Very interesting timing that he suddenly made that decision just as Anuranium was raining laser blasts on him :D

Guess that particular flower was yellow in color... :p

As surprises nobody. Well, I'm somewhat surprised he chose self-destruct rather than combat logging, but I guess he must have realized the jig was up since he was hunted.

I have yet to meet a griefer who will actually put up a fight when engaged by an actual threat.

I applaud CMDR Anuranium's valiant attempt at ridding the Galaxy of this piece of Scum and Villainy.
Just as I cast scorn upon this Unmentionables lack of Honour, or even Intestinal Fortitude, to face their Justice properly.

In another life, or another time perhaps, May I ever get the opportunity to enforce justice most deserved upon this Enemy of Humanity.
Then may my hand be swift, and my aim true.

Well, as a member of the press, Ceska, you're in a position to report what you're seeing. Seems to me the Saviour of Sag A* might be newsworthy, but that's just my opnion. :D You never know, those upstarts at GalNet might scoop ya. ;) Apparently, Anuranium has quite a number of admirers now based on the number of CMDRs who linked up with him for protection out near the Core...

As much as I'd love to report on this, and get the scoop.
I'm currently busy with the construction and testing of an improved Recording Booth to provide a better quality, and quicker, news service.

Well I guess I'm still taking off in my Combat Vulture come tomorrow :)

So I dropped from a 22 LY explorer/race configuration to my current 19.63 LY combat one. I don't mind too much, almost no difference in the plotting of jump points. Might make a difference when I get nearer though, when I've crossed the arms and staring into the thick of that mess of stars.

Anyway I wouldn't worry too much since I'm following the EXACT SAME ROUTE my Cobra took. Yup, I actually recorded my route on Notepad (not pen and paper) the first time around :D

Oh yeah... Sorry Anuranium... no cargo slots to bring more Lavian Brandy.....

Cmdr Anuranium ... I salute you sir. Thanks to your heroic probing the Hemorrhoid has gone septic and burst itself. It shall not be missed but the name of Anuranium will live on in Buckyball history.

O7

Right, where were we? Oh yes, racing to Sagittarius A*.

Nice work Anuranium, I wish I hadn't missed it, although I'm sure it would have cost me my life (and all the scans I've done).

While I was making my run up to sag A* (I'm calling it A* from now on :)) Anuranium contacted me to see if I would be willing to be bait to try to catch this special guy.

I had 2 problems with the plan, the first issue was I was in a slooooooow type6 with no weapons or shields. I thought the bait would last 2 seconds.
The real flaw I had with the plan was that Anuranium was over 4000LY behind me, so probably wouldn't be too quick to jump in and help me :)

Heres my vid from a few days ago when I arrived at A*, i didn't want the cat to be let out of the bag in case someone in particular was watching this thread. I also nearly forgot to get a screenshot of the time

And here is the video from yesterday of me finding the guy at A* in his Asp!

Except it isn't.

Seems it was a different guy in a combat Asp. What are the odds?

I would soil myself in terror if there was anything on the scanner other than stars and planets so far out... Right now I'm somewhat 120 Ly from Sag A, on the scenic route back, looking at neutron stars and terraformable planets. Dreaming of running the race again in an Adder, just to be the first in that ship... *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*

Yesterday I was attending my Peace Lily, as I spotted some weed in the corner of my eye. I don't know if it is the side-effects of the Matrona Experience Jelly I have been trying out, but as I turned to look at it, it suddenly vanished. Weird, huh?

Anyway, all sorts of of ships has come by, all with warm greetings and honourable intentions. My selfie gallery grows larger every day. I even met a new record holder out here, in his most glorious ship; The Nomad :D

Now, are there any other racers on the way, or do I have to apply more Jelly to my head?

Edit: Oh I wish I could rep you guys more, thank you all for the kind support :)

I honestly don't even know if anyone was in the system when I arrived... I had my sensors turned off for heat management reasons. I didn't think to turn them back on until I had already dropped into solo for high res screenshot time. Nobody hailed me, however.

I'm currently about 10,000 ly from home now. Starting to be more thankful for the AFMU's... had a graphics driver crash that led to some more damage last night. Still at 97% hull, though, and 99% powerplant.

Well, I took a look at the stats of the new ships in the 1.3 Beta, the Diamondback and Imperial Courier, and decided to see how much of a jump range we can expect out of them with full tanks.

Ship
With Scanners
Without Scanners
Refuel Time
Diamondback (16T)27.9628.41 (+0.45)
90s
Diamondback (8T)29.09 (+1.13)
29.58 (+0.49)
45s
Imperial Courier (8T)27.74
29.49 (+1.75)
45s
Imperial Courier (4T)29.89 (+2.15)
31.94 (+2.05)
22s
Note: The values in parantheses refer to the range gained vs. larger tank (with scanners column) or the same tank but with scanners (without scanners column).

Well, guess it's safe to say there won't be any speed records being set with these ships. Still, that's two new slots for the ship best time table in the works!

made a thread on it here as I too was only concerned with its performance for the sadge run.
quickly disappointed a lot of people,
it seems nice and nippy boosts at 434, may be cool for other buckyballs.
but I wont be taking it to sadge. ;)
the beta is flaky atm.. keeps kicking me everytime I go to bulliten board.. or disengage. like every 5 or 10 mins.. bit pants.

Guess I'll be sticking with the Asp Explorer load out I was discussing in another thread earlier today then.

... or should that be Asp Eggsplorer (sorry).

Sounds like it might have done well in BBR7!

Apparently there's a 1.3.1 beta being served up shortly to fix the disconnect issue.
