Just wondering, am I the only one disappointed in the Diamondback, and perhaps the Courier also?
I expected the Diamondback to replace my Asp, and it seems I expected wrong. The Diamondback or the Courier IMO doesn't seem to fit any specific role. Neither has great cargo capacity, jump range, or weaponry. Wouldn't it be best if you just stuck with a type 6 and traded your way to an Asp instead of wasting money on either of these ships (with the new 10% penalty when you sell modules)?
I personally expected to see the Diamondback as a slightly more expensive alternative to the Imperial Clipper, with great jump range and cargo capacity with slightly less powerful weaponry compared to the Clipper (I don't think many people even consider the Dropship due to its low jump range). Considering the Clipper and the Type 7 are pretty much the only two ships until you get to a Python, which is a VERY long time, I had hoped the Diamondback would act as a median in that long grind to the python.
