1)
On a Sidewinder, a class "A" sensors module has a range of 6 km for mass of 1.3 tonnes.
On a Anaconda, a class "D" sensors module has a range of 6 km for a mass of 64 tonnes.
What make the Anaconda sensors module so different from the Sidewinder module which explain this difference ?
As far as I know, the mass and price of sensors are linked to their own capacities, not to the ship size.
2)
Aside from the range to target other ships, does quality of sensors suite have other purposes ?
