Discouraged, email sent to FD

I'll take that under advisement, but mining is was down for me, I go in with an all A rated ship, 7 bin refinery so nothing gets thrown out that has decent % instead of higher profits it's gone in the opposite direction, I don't know but percentages for me have gone done.

Actually I don't want an anaconda, just looking to work my way into a asp that I can fit properly for exploration, but because of the low percentage on ores as they continue a spiral downwards, I don't know maybe I'm bugged some how, maybe I should send in a bug report because it has taken a nose dive in the percentage I get compared to what it used to be, even in anarchy space in pristine rings.

I guess I'm not clear enough, I don't give a f about Anaconda, pythons, nor any of the biggest and baddest, but would like to earn something so I could atleast see progress in a hour besides the nose dive it has taken, used to earn 500,000 in hour and half, now i'm lucky to break 200,000 with 80 tons, nothing but indite, everywhere I look indite,
W H E N......I do find platinum, palladium, gold, and silver the percentage is so low 3% is common, what I am finding is 35% indite, go somewhere else, 35% indite, I have cargo holds full of indite and everything else is 1 of this and 1 of that because all I'm getting is indite all day long...yes just indite.

I don't get you at all. You said you do not have access to beta, nevertheless you complain about beta, but referring to gameplay that is not beta.

You make my head spin. :)

Have you read about the changes in powerplay, i'm not complaining about the overall changes, I am saying first they did something that mess up the % in mining by "randomization" program now I went into bounty hunting to earn since mining isn't paying (so at this point i'm trying to adapt), yet now when powerplay comes out and your bounty hunting in a RES if you accidentally hit an innocent your a wanted criminal and there is no more flying to an independent station to pay the bounty off, it stays with you for 7 days, what this means is you have to leave your system that (like me), have adapted as a home because we know the area and can earn, but now that's in jeopardy so I go back to mining only to find it worse then when I left.

But you have not experienced this new beta yourself. You might be misjudging what you have read, or those that wrote it might be mistaken... about the mining for example. Also do not forget that the input of the beta testers will surely result in tweaks.

I'd advise to let the beta testers do their thing and wait for the release of Powerplay. And even after that things will get tweaked depending on our feedback.
The final result might not be entirely to your or my liking but that is impossible. There will always be stuff we will have to accept, because we are not the developers of this game. The devs do listen though. Many things have been tweaked because of our input.

Thanks, yup, it's just frustrating to see earnings drop yet i'm putting more effort in and getting less out, it's not whining just wondering where the hell is this going if I have to pay for the expansion the least they can do is not nerf how we earn, but yeah, thanks, I'll just keep quite because post like this invite more trolls then helpful people.

No Kyudos, I'm afraid you are incorrect in fact. I hit a cop - not killed and have a minor bounty - 200 cr. Note it's not a fine, it's a bounty. It's in my "Home" system too, which could be a pain except I seem mainly to get in and out of the starport without getting scanned. Lucky, so far, or maybe under the "attack floor".

But I can't go to a RES in my home system for the next few days or I will get hounded.

It is a damn sight easier to make money now than it was at launch, and it continues to get easier, with the new higher mission bounties in 1.3, improved mining (including mining missions), a better more even spread of ships, fewer holes in weapon availability, et al. Perhaps you too should have been an early adopter and have had the pleasure of trying to grind credits without resorting to trading at launch. If you had, you would then have a better perspective and I would hope be less prone to knee jerk reactions to changes you have not even tested yourself.

To date, since launch I have picked up six fines for hitting friendlies and things just got easier in 1.3 as the rules are being relaxed, something that frankly was not needed. If you have no self control and do pick up a fine so what, you move a couple of jumps, go off exploring for a week and come back when the fine is cleared, with 400 billion systems available I am sure you can find somewhere to do whatever it is you chose,. You are whining about nothing, and it is a whine, nothing more.

You don't have to pay for the expansion.

Do you realize that Power play is a free update?
And there will be coming more of these still :).

And in your lofty position maybe you can be helpful rather then "You are whining about nothing, and it is a whine, nothing more" when you don't read it enough to see that I said I am putting in the effort but CR is down, so you decide it's whining, you are the reason accidents in RL happen, people like you never see a problem so you never speak up, then when something happens to your own people like you say why didn't someone do something about it, if you never speak up then you accept things as they are, I like to question when something I perceive something.

Well then I've been misinformed because I remember reading in more then one place that expansions are to be paid as they continue to add content like landing on planets, anyway good to know that.

Yes landing on planets will be a paid for expansion. But that should surprise no one because the way FD is planning to do that will add a complete new dimension to the game.
Also FPA, walking around your ship and stations, and EVA will all most likely be, or be part of paid for expansions.

But we will also get several updates like Powerplay for free.

Its not a race. You dont have to do everything by tea time tomorrow. Play at your own pace. So what if some people have more money than you. There is always someone poorer.

The game is meant to be played indefinitely. Its not meant to be finished in an hour just so you can have what you dont even know what you want. If you want a game that can be played in an hour go buy one. Theres plenty of those, let the people who dont want a game thats done in an hour enjoy this one.

Hi everyone, hate to start on a sour note but the new powerplay is MORE of a let down and things will only get worse for some as game items are added but newer players find it unobtainable without hours upon hours of zombie like grind.

As of now the updates before powerplay beta have been severely nerfed earnings in especially mining, now in powerplay (when it comes out), in bounty hunting if an accidental hit on say a police while fighting in a RES cannot be paid off and it takes 7 days for it to go away this means those of us that have a home system that we have adopted could be off limits because we would be attacked by NPC'S because we are wanted.

I've been reading on the forums and I am not alone in feeling that it's just too much nerf, I also think most people will agree that the game needs more content but to nerf Cr making play before content is added is the wrong direction that FD has taken because people have to grind like zombies for hours for a lot less (especially mining), but now even bounty hunting at RES is at risk for people when accidentally hitting an innocent.

Early adopters are now gazillionaires because they got in before the heavy nerfs (and I don't hold it against them as they deserve perks), but now unless we make ED our second job we won't be able to even hope to get there, and now new ships are here but they might as well be still unplayable because of the cost and we cannot hope to join the ranks of the 1%ers because of "randomization" they have put in which has seriously nerfed Cr opportunities, anyways this is just my thought and I'm not sure if I will pay for expansions if I am not able to earn without the hope of reaching my goals.

Edit; Ok, I should ask what the hell i'm doing wrong when I've got the best equipment available to mine with but instead of an improvement in Cr per hour it has taken a spiral downwards, I used to mine for 1 to 2 hours and walk away with 500,000 to 750,000 now all I find is indite, 35% on most days and platinum 3% maybe in pristine metallic rings, and yes I know what i'm looking for as it's been how I've been earning since I started, now i'm lucky to break 200,000 with 2 or 3 hours mining...how is that even possible now that I'm in a ship with more cargo holds and instead of a 40 ton cargo hold (cobra), I make less with more, it's frustrating to go backwards since the last update included "random" program, yet I never logged off and on just mined, I don't know, i'm at a loss.

2nd edit, no the new ship isn't the problem, I've tested that by going into a cobra again and I still get low %.

Ah ok yet another "im not happy thread" like the screaming of child not getting their own way. But hey at least he's tested his theory

I'm not in powerplay beta, only those with beta access can get those now.

Geeuur, what:eek:....i....err:rolleyes:....seriously:(....how:S...flibble,flibble

Mining doesnt scale up with ship size, well not at the minute anyway. A biggership only means you can hold more before you have to return to base. Nothing else, so what does that save you, 5 mins an hour maybe, that is it. But it has more expensive running costs. That might change with the new update.

Honestly no offense to the OP, but posts like this are why the Beta forum should be Read Only. The OP is entitled to his opinion and when this build gets an open release they might feel the same way.

But the Beta forum should be locked to people actually participating in the Beta.

Yes JeffRyan; at first I thought the OP was playing the Beta...but no. He's reacting to 1.2. His comments don't apply.
