Cheap quality of Elite Dangerous merchandise

So im kinda shocked that my Elite dangerous t-shirts did loose the printings after just one wash.
Thease shirts are not cheap each cost 24-25€. I would expect that the printings would last at least 1 year for this price.

To make it more clear i got the coloris station, Cobra and Elite 30 years shirt. The elite dangerous ones did loose a lot of the printing while the Elite 30 years one stayed ok.
I know i support the game with thouse high prices, but at least i want something that last a few more washes.

So if someone thinking to get a t-shirt be warned.

What sort of printing? Ink or that idiot vinyl/rubber type junk?

Makes you wonder where they got them printed. All of my ME2 and DAO/2 shirts are still pretty bright even after many washes, and they were around the same price, but Bioware wasn't using them to fund a Kickstarter either.

I've got a couple of shirts. Not had a problem with mine. Perhaps you just got a bad one. Have you told FD? You may be able to get a replacement.

I got the Cobra one and washed it a bunch of times, no problem. Do you turn it inside out before chucking it in the machine, preferably a cold wash?
Just email customer services. Will get a lot better response than complaining in here.

I've only purchased a t-shirt and I have to agree. I have a Metallica concert 2XL shirt that is larger than the so called 3XL from Elite. The material used is extremely thin. I cannot comment on the overall durability, but I'm pretty sure I just threw $40 f'n US$ down the toilet. So disappointed. I love the print (pirate one) but I guess I'll have to hedge my loss and return it, if that's even possible. Buyer beware!!! High dollar for $#!@ty quality and sizing. I rate it a 0 out of 10. Sad thing is, I knew it before I even opened the bag, there wasn't the expected weight or volume. Note to self: no more "fun" things to go with my Elite that hasn't been played for over 4 Earth months. What a waste.

My good friend owns a clothing company it is extremely hard these days to get high quality products with a good margin. Anyone who's playing this game now and doesn't understand economics or free market forces now does with margins and commodities markets.

I find that UK and US sizes are a step over European sizes, so if they have gone with normal european sizing it's common that there's a one step difference. If I bought medium in the UK I would get what I call large. This is obviously very hard to know, but pretty obvious when you've seen it in a store.

No, seriously, sizing wise that is my experience too.

If it's not fit for purpose then send it right back.

It's been a long time since I wore a t-shirt that cost more than ten dollars, and mine hold up well.

I presume most of my clothing is made with slave labor in some tropical or semi-tropical third world cesspool, but if that's what it takes to keep me comfortably among the willfully unemployed labor aristocracy, so be it.

you might want to try owning one before poo pooing them on the word of one person !!!
I have 2 and after many washes the print is 100%

Sorry to hear your shirts were sub-par. Tell the store, they'll surely replace them.

I got the shirts with the small printed logo and they've been awesome. So comfy.

Good thing I never wore my 30 year t-shirt so haven't had to wash it. It can remain a memento. Just got my boxed edition today since I had been away from the delivery address for a few weeks but was disappointed to find the kickstarter t-shirt I had been looking forward to is actually a polo shirt, I absolutely despise polo shirts so now have two elite garments that shall never be worn.

I'm with you on polo shirts, unless you want to look like Alan Partridge taking up golf, or a collar-popping fratboy, they're not ideal.

However, I have to disagree about the 30 year retro tshirt.. My issue with it is that the print hasn't degraded at all yet- it'd actually look cooler if it was a little washed out- and it's still shockingly sharp and fresh, despite the attentions of my washing machine. Maybe I have to purposely try to wash it stupidly- I'm too used to washing tshirts properly, inside-out on a cool wash.
