Community Event / Creation A list of Beta Let's Plays; Streamers; and other in-game footage

I have decided to post my gameplay Video onto the Mobius Brands Facebook page. the video wont have me nattering on about stuff. it just plain simple gameplay. just click the Like button to take you there and like the page.

or www.facebook.com/mobius.brands

I don't do Facebook (*mutters under his breath about demonic slavery*) so thankfully you set your page to public so I don't need an account to look. Nice pictures there - noticed both FD and RSI liked your page so well done :)

You'd think lateral and vertical thrusters would allow you to strafe like a FPS game.

ie: Thrust left/right and yaw a tiny amount so you are always pointing towards the target, but sliding left/right to make yuo hard to hit?

You can :). At least, you can with gamepad... the two presets are with yaw and without yaw (lateral movement)

Nice, hoefully this can be mapped to joysticks/keyboard easily then...

And also, question is, is the AI every clever enough to employ these manoeuvres?

I've added Dr Wookie.

I challenged Kerrash to do that whilst going full-tilt through an asteroid field on his stream, he failed ;-) Or rather, he cheated. But I thought of an interesting variant would be to drop the draw distance to as low as possible...

Cheated is a strong word, I just forgot about no rotation as I was waffling on :p
I will try both challenges next time ;)

Dear Kerrash,

I know you have personal life, kids to take care of and stuff...but please, PLEASE stream something for us tonight.

Your devoted fans :D

I was actually watching Tenacious D in Birmingham last night ;)
I will stream as much as I can soon, finishing work soon ;)

Evening all, I have just up loaded my latest video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFG_I61Vne8&feature=youtu.be

As there was some discusion earlier today I thought I would make a video showing a comparison of the two targeting methods that can be used.

The first is a standard lead indicator that most people will be familiar with.

The second is an adaptive gun sight that allows you to keep your focus on the ship. I find this method preferable as it means I am not just following a circle, I am looking at the ship and its thrusters etc to see where it will go next.

I hope this is useful.

Has anyone uploaded anything showing the latest update yet?
According to our brief conversation on Skype earlier today, Kerrash intends to stream tonight. Right now, as far as I can tell, he's busy enjoying himself with two of his favourite things ... Elite: Dangerous Alpha 1.1 and Oculus Rift. You do the math (as the saying goes).

Very interested in talk for better performance! Be interesting if people can see higher FPS!

Uhm...."higher".....mate, so many of the Streamers had 60 FPS and ....you can't even see that much anyways. So why want to have even more tho? To have an even "Bigger Number" (upper left corner by stanndard fraps) Onscreen to brag with? Makes no Sense.

Because the last battle sequence was really killing some machines... and for the life of my I couldn't understand why. So I've love to see it was a simple issue that's now resolved and FPS have gone up noticeably.
