Powerplay 1.3, The new faster docking computer. (Video) But i did manage to break it.

Posted this here just for you non-beta guys.
The new Docking computer in 1.3 by Sarah, is excellent now.
It is much improved and so fast, and now works on Outposts, notice it now uses boosts to the station, so here's a couple of short clips.

Holy Cow !

It might actually be worth having a docking computer now, esp for the larger ships.

Looks good doesn't seem to have the old Parkinson's effect where it would drift back and too over the pad for ages when descending.

none whatsoever now, also puts full pips to engines too, then shields.

it seems to work ok in traffic, just sometimes queues, but not for long, will try to add a video at a busy station later.

Good on them - although I enjoyed listening to the blue danube while it took its time docking ...

As someone who has never used it, I was very impressed, even with the massive conda ! The AI on it seems much better because no one is moaning about it in PP forum :D

p.s. I did break it in founders world, but I must stress I was being extremely silly !!!
I got my dock permission and went to the back of the station behind the rotating fins and initiated the DC , BOOM !!! :D

I'd buy that for a dollar!

Whats the audio clip from, the voice over actor sounds familiar, as does the phrase itself.

Not tried the docking computer in the game at all... surprised it doesn't play the traditional Blue Danube :(

i already have that with Voice Attack. (almost) I takes me to launch, then take off up away from pad a small distance.

it is the Dark voice pack, you can buy them, to me it sounds like Spock.
And i have heard the Blue danube sometimes, but don't think it gives much time to play it any longer.

Might need some new pants if I got one. Never used one before, but I might give it a go when I get a T9 on my return from the void (yes I know I cant dock a T9 on an outpost). Again there has been nothing but positivity on the forums.

Try it now before the 1.3 update ... last time I tried the docking computer, it pointed my nose downwards, then flew up (which would be forward as you come through the letterbox)

now THAT was weird & scary :D
