Shooting a ship that is aligned to the same Power OR Major Faction as you results in a Power Rank penalty.


Could we get some clarification on this statement? Does this exclude wanted ships? When Bounty Hunting in federation space the bounties in a res site are always comprised of wanted ships aligned to the federation because there are always federation aligned minor factions in a federation system. Some systems like sol have all federation aligned factions.

I am assuming the patch is not ready yet, as i am getting inter server error message on log on screen.

Assuming all powers ships are aligned to their powers major faction, does that mean imperial powers can't oppose each others expansion or undermine each other without getting power rank penalties?

I thought there was supposed to be a civil war amongst them.

- Doubled the combat bond amounts for standard combat zones. Now 4000cr instead of 2000cr

Hey great job on Powerplay so far, but I'm curious as to what this exactly means. All combat bond rewards have doubled, so for example an Anaconda was 36k is now 72k?

- Player allied with opposing Power didn't get bounty when firing on a player allied with system's power

Those are good changes.
 
I wonder what ships are affected and should be tested by us.

I think it only refers to the stat displayed in the shipyard, the two new ships showed it at 0, and I think some of the old ships also had an incorrect stats displayed.

Bit confused on this bit though:

- Massacre Conflict target #'s now scale

Does that mean more enemy spawn depending on your level? More PP points for killing bigger targets? (I'd kinda like the latter to be honest. 1 point per kill regardless of enemy strength is a bit meh)
 
Server-side changelog:

Increased the Courier's ability to dissipate heat so that it runs a bit cooler and thus can scoop around more stars safely than before

Fixed incorrect radiator stats for Empire Courier



Just updated unfortunately the courier still cooks to fast near the sun while over heating after beta 3 downloaded :(

I was wondering about that. I didn't think FD scales stuff as a rule.
 
Very good question.

Right now in powerplay beta we seem to have a situation where forces of Lavigny-Duval and Petreaus are meeting militarily in a system. Would you have to sacrifice your power rank to stop Petreaus (I assume it is his power, judging by the location) by taking out his ships which are attacking Lavigny-Duval ships?
 
Could someone point me to a thread explaining powerplay please. haven't played much recently and not sure what im supposed to do or how im supposed to do it.

Not sure anbout the "SPEEDING" notification on the dashboard. It's only an offence it you hit someone. It's a bit nanny-state.
