By going to the Azaleach system, signing up at the station and then turning over every bit of space dust in a 200ly radius until we find something.
Even assuming that she has fallen victim to some nefarious plot, we can at least hope to get some answers.
My money is on the shadow president, that warmonger has the most to gain from her death.
This is, for me at least, by far the most engaging CG to date. If we could track her down and prevent the shadow president from coming to power that would be beyond brilliant. Alas, judging from the leader list in the beta, Halsey is beyond our help. If it was however possible to change that outcome it would be one hell of a player driven storyline.
For now all we can do is scan and hope.

I know that the talent is accurate but there is something fishy going on here ... After almost 60000 report submissions the acting president comes and say the drive blew up ?! I'm not buying it ... It might be the acting president betrayal even !!!

there is a huge, huge gap between tier 3 and tier 4. given the relatively short timeframe for completion i wonder if making it to tier 4 has the potential to radically alter the plot (ie the president is found, alive or dead). would be good if some more people jumped in on this, but i also wonder if there are a lot of people just cruising around, hoovering up data, waiting to fly back and drop it off as the deadline closes in.
