Hi
Sorry I've taken so long to respond, I've been very busy this last week.So here's my VA profile your everyone to enjoy:
Blurb
Most serious ED games will have more than one ship, each setup for different tasks. For example an Asp equipped for long range exploration, a Cobra or Viper setup for combat and the ubiques Type 6,7 or 9 setup for trading. Have you ever want to have each of your ship respond differently to your command in different voices? This is my attempt at creating a VA profile that achieves that goal.
Description
This profile uses 5 different TtoV voices and responds with up to 5 random responses for each command spoken. There are 4 variable profile types: Explorer, Fighter, Miner and Trader plus a default type. Each time you start a game or change your ship you set the correct profile type by stating 'Initialize ........ A I' where ........ = Explorer, Fighter, Miner or Trader (you can change this command to anything that feels natural to you in the Profile category). If you simply state 'Initialize A I' it will set the profile to default. Each profile uses a different TtoV voice with the default profile using the Window default TtoV. The voices I have used come from the MS Text to Voice development pack that can be downloaded from the Microsoft development wedsite (Note: you will nave to look up on the web on how to make these voice available to Window, it does involve some registry editing) but you can use any TtoV voices you like, just edit the entries in the Responses category.
The voices I've used are:
Explorer - US-Helen
Fighter - GB-Hazel
Miner - CA-Heather
Trader - US-ZitaPro
Default - Windows default
Usage
To set which profile to use say 'Initialize Explorer/Fighter/Miner/Trader A I' (state only one profile name or leave out for default).
Menus tracking is implement and you can go strait to any tab in the Targeting (left) or Systems (right) console by saying it's name (e.g. 'Navigation'). Exceptions are the 'Cargo' tabs, say 'Targets Cargo' for the Cargo tab in the Targeting console and 'My Cargo' or 'Ships Cargo' for the Systems Cargo tab.
If the menu tracking gets out of sync then set all console to their first tabs and say 'Reset Menus'.
'Request Docking' command does not require you to be in any menus, it will find its way automatically.
Known Issues
Targeting console:
There is an issue with the last 2 tabs in this console due to the fact that they are grayed out when you do not have anything actively targeted. I have yet to find a way to solve this problem so do be careful when cycling through the tabs as you can get menu tracking out of sync.
Communications console:
Due to the fact that I disable Hotkey tracking while you are in the Text messaging tab I ask that you please do not use the [Esc] key to activate the tabs, please use the 'Coms Tabs' or 'Channel Tabs' voice commands so VA can keep track of where it is in that console. Using the [Esc] key can not only screw up tracking but also leave Hotkeys turned off!
I hope you enjoy my profile, please leave any comment and suggestions.
OK I'm stumped - I cannot seem to attach the file to this post - help please?
NM sorted it.
Edit: I have now setup a Dropbox account to share my profile
