Ladies and Gents...
I proudly present my new idea for a ship...
The Lakon Highway!
This is a four berth transport ship (using wings) that is capable of traveling vast distances. I'm talking a 150-200 Ly Jump range here. Ugly as hell, it is designed as pretty much a clothes-hanger for other ships. It's defense is the other ships! When fuel scooping, this baby will use the other ships scoops as well as its own! (which is quite slow on it's own)
But here's the nice thing. It will carry a data record module. All destroyed attached ships will have the opportunity to recover their exploration data IF the mother-ship makes it home. And also we can give this ship a 600 tonne cargo rack.
The proud owner of this ship will set his transport price to a destination that suits all four limpet ships. (Man's gotta make a profit after all) He will receive 50% of this on the outward journey. IF he makes it back he will receive the other 50% AS LONG AS THERE ARE TWO SHIPS STILL CONNECTED!
I think that's just quite a nice idea.
Input please! (-: Implementation should not be a problem for this.
