1st video:
These 2 vultures keep trying to kill me, later that evening they manage to but this is what happens when they come one by one.
Lucky I was full on ammo.

2nd video:
This guy lays down a rp challenge and I except. Thank you for the fight commander.

Enjoy.

How do you know if Fight Assist is off or on, my tab just says, 'input mode' and I can't change it.

Arry.

Fun and nice flying! Let me know if you'd like to dogfight another vulture - love to give it a go against a good viper pilot as so far the viper pilots I've run into tend to run away quickly!

Arry, it's say on the upper right INFO HUD

If you are talking about the controls pannel:
- the line where it says "disable flight assist" is where you enter your key to disable FA.
- the "button mode" line under is to choose if you keep that key pressed or toggle FA off and on.

you should get a verbal cue from the ships voice; "flight assist off" then when you switch it back on the same.

In the top right info bar, where you get the proximity warning, it says flight assist off and on respectively.

The real indicator is that your flight inputs are radically different, and your ship seems to be uncontrollable.

Thanks, I'll see if I can work it out next time I'm on board.

I'm on almost every night and usually play late. UK time zone. I'm currently docked in Diso. I might move to Altair. I heard there is some fights over there.
Look for me anytime your on.

Cheers Cmdr, looking forward to it.

It hadn't been ages for me exactly, but I rebought a Viper last night and spec'd it out for racing. I am still missing a 1C fuel tank, and the -2T that will save me in mass, but I did get her up to 352 normal top speed with a boost of 440. I did an 80km run in toward a station in 3M 12s.

So Pendra, if you read this, I am ready to race.

Whoops. I posted the wrong 2nd video.
I've put the correct one in now.

2nd one is a double whammy for all the haters.I use SCB's and I pop his power plant.:p

I'm still learning FA/off. I still don't know what I'm really doing, I just feel it and go with the flow.

Alot of vulture pilots are RES hero's and think viper is easy kill, I let them go if they don't want fights. Problem is they tend to return with mates.

I met two other vipers' last night who were both awesome viper pilots too. Viper really is an awesome ship.

Alright, sounds like a plan - I'm west coast US so can probably do this right after work some day soon. Got your name and I'll reach out - we could do 1st to shields down or 50% hull. Thrown down.

I except.

Yep - I fully admit that I'm one of them, but I do make a point of a bit of fixed-weapon combat every now and then to get around the chaff-spam problem.

Gotta say...those guys didn't seem to really get the whole PvP thing. I'm bad, but they seemed to utterly miss the point (ie it can be useful to actually dodge the incoming fire once in a while).

I may actually outfit a PvP Vulture and go playing (low sensors, fixed pulses and lots of shield cells - at least one of which can be active while hardpoints are deployed). Probably need a bit of practice first, mind ;)

I think vulture and fixed wpns is very strong. Vultures tend to have shield boosters, some chaff and I have to be careful of their burst damage. I'm going to have to give it another go one day but DiamondBack I want to test next.
Unfortunetly, I can't do full FA/Off with fixed.

I'm only really just begun with FA/Off a couple of weeks ago. I started off with a sidewinder in an asteroid belt. I spent a few hours in there and I think the sidewinder is really neat at FA/Off.
I liked it so much I kept the upgraded sidewinder and bought a paint job for it. :D

That's great and I think it's best we fight till the end or 20/30% hull.
The way I'm built I can only really have one fight before I have to return to a station.
It makes sparring difficult.

Every time I think that I'm on the cusp of Elite getting boring, I come across something that makes me want to dive into a completely different aspect of it. Nice!

Sidewinder in an asteroid field with FA-Off... added to list! :D

Thanks.

Hey I like to kick it with Viper too from time to time and use FAOFF 90%. Last night I decided to take a FDL, I couldn't crack his shields but I feel really confident that I could take on Vulture pilots now. Please let me know if want another annoying Viper pilot fighting along your side. I'm on that Japan time zone, but I could still try.
