Comes from main tank, as far as I know extra tanks just add to the main tank as if you have upgraded it.

Pretty much agree with this.

From personal experience, you may not have enough fuel to be confident to get back into SC, or enough fuel at all, so I think wings will be be the only practical method of meeting up. Not to mention how you would find someone in or out of SC in a system without a Nav Beacon - I don't think you are going to always arrive at the same place.

I'd like to be added as a Fuel-Rat, Just did a rare run from Diso area out to Yembo (Type-6 no scoop, no stop). As I was docking at Naddoddur station I got the "Main fuel tank Depleted" message. Main tank 4%, Reservoir tank 96% docked. :p

Lots of questions about this refuelling discussion.
Don`t we have to work out the cost of this refuelling service ?

What price would you say as a call out fee ? 30-50k (like the Independent Recovery Services)
Whats the price per Ton of Fuel Replenished or Total cost of Refuel ? 100k (Ton) 500k (Total) , Which ever is the larger ?
How do we get payment, by what method ?
Can people be trusted to pay up for services rendered and NOT TURN ON YOU AND KILL YOU after you have filled them up ( *IF* they have that capability) ?
If after refuelling and they try and run without paying (Hit `n Run), are we allowed to attack ?
Is their going to be some sort of non payment list for Commanders ?


Are we going to have some sort of Code of Conduct , Rules for people in this refuelling group ?

I'll be doing it without charge. The obligation on anyone I rescue is to offer the service to others. If you only want to offer it for a fee then that's your prerogative and your responsibility to agree payment terms. I'm not sure how you expect an explorer to pay you. They'll need to get back to the bubble first (no one carries cargo...) Personally I've no interest in trying to enforce repayment for something I think we should offer as a matter of course (assisting other ships in distress).

If someone attacks a fuel rat then I suspect there are many who would take exception and add them to a KoS list, I would for a start.

I'd do it for kicks, for the adventure. If the person I rescued wanted to extend that into flying back with me and handing over some form of thankyou gift aswell, so much the better. What I value more that anything in this game is content and a sense of purpose.

My plan of doing the Buckyball Run A* again today has been aborted and postponed due to server connection issues - been getting them all day. I am currently 12 klys out and about to take the shortcut back to SOL.

As I now have some time on my hands and 1.3 is out, does anyone want to have a practice of this whole refuelling thing? I am tooling around in a cheap hauler, so happy to be the CMDR in distress :)

You need to buy Limpets to fuel up people , like for mining , etc ?

Is this still ongoing. I'm 55 ly away in Shinrarta with an equiped ASP. Never tried this and would like to.

Edit: I jumped so I'm in Amadioha now.

I've just dropped off fuel it works and was fun. I only had 8 drones and I didn't really need an aux tank (but did have one installed). takes a few seconds for each drone and it's a bit unnerving when the drone expires with a bang.
