No more Anaconda in RES ? Nerfed ?

I did bounty hunting for about 12h today, in Empire space.

It seems like Pythons & Clipper RES are nearly non-existent, and I didn't see any Anaconda !

I'm tired to reset RES every 2 min, FD, did you nerf the RES spawn ?
Is this to promote PP mission ?
Do I really have to trade like a robot to have Cr ?

Also, High Intensity RES are stupid and full of Eagle.

Back to the trade then...
Even mission with Deadly rank are useless. 200k for 10 pirates that will took 20min, really ?

if you don't care to invest a little time to locate a nice hunting ground like i explained instead of going to the nearest RES then maybe trading is more for you.
bounty hunting can be more profitable than before if done right, but trading also got its buffs.

i made some answer to that in this thread https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=152802
and here https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=152781

only bounty farming was patched out, now its more emphasis on the hunting.
however don't get me wrong, there is still farms to be found, but if you do the old log in/log out until you get a good spawn you will more often be wasting your time.
spawns takes time to spin up and the system location, security levels and belt quality/location + local factions are more important.
now you actually have to do some hunting around for the sweet spots rather than going for the nearest RES.
you might also find that your sweet spots can dry out as the galaxy has become more dynamic and your hunting do have an effect on the local security.

(Why do these forums make copy+paste text black??? Annoying!)

That's a good change. The farming was just ridiculously broken. Log in and out until Anacondas spawn for 200k bounties. I did notice that there are a lot more missions to take out pirates for 150k - 200k. I completed one where I had to kill six pirates, took about 30minutes and I made, roughly, 250-300k through the bounties on these pirates and the reward itself. This was in a Viper, having to run away from one or two AI encounters with 2x Vultures and another random(?) ship and I wasn't pledged or in a controlled territory. You could easily make 450k in 20-30minutes in a Viper if you're pledged to a combat power that's rank 1(50% increase in bounties). I also noticed Strong Signal Sources spawning Anaconda's and Python's that were trying to set up traps as opposed to them usually just being System Defence Fleets that do nothing. It was a welcome surprise and felt good to have to run away in shock with missiles being flung at me(Not that they really did anything to my shields...).

Well I went into a high intensity RES earlier today for a quick look and saw 2 wanted pythons in the first few mins before I moved on.

I did one of these today although it was 250k for 6 pirates, entered first USS, found 6 pirates including master conda and 3 police. Did the whole thing in one hit, 400k bounties on top of 250k reward. Much more fun than trading or res.

Also had some great warzone missions which has given excellent return. Think they are trying to move people out of farming.

I haven't seen any annies. What I have seen is 3v1 battles with me and 3 python npcs in a wing.

Very quiet in res now days. That's killed off the only activity I enjoyed doing.

There's much more to do now though. Choose a power, go in and perform exploit tasks in enemy territory, fight other commanders without any fines and work for your power. Brings a whole new level to gameplay if you want it.

spent a few hours in High Res earlier today .
had pythons / clippers / dropships & good respawn rates
bounties lower than I expected &
they seemed to hit harder .. although they also seemed less likely to target me if npc security had taken some big chunks out of them 1st.
also had a wing of 3 wanted npc vultures ... 1st time I have seen that formation in a RES.
.
sadly did not see any wanted Anaconda's

Haven't seen any Anacondas except the police ships. That said, I am getting on average 30K per kill of Vipers, Adders and such. In a high intensity Res site, you can rake in some credits pretty quick, and my overall was about the same. I get drop ships, clippers and Pythons regularly, and unlike before, it's not a "this or that" scenario now. No one wanted to be infested iwth 1200Cr sideys, and would instead reset instances to all big ships with occasional wings of smaller mosquitoes. Now we have a mix, as it should be, and it's not as predictable.

Some people want a farming system, some want a game. I want a game. I couldn't care less about the Cr/hr grind as long as I can play the game and not run out of funds by doing what the game offers.

Sorry no more 5 police and you vs 1 npc anaconda for ez money
I've honestly always hated the prolific police presence in all RES no matter the system, and now no matter the intensity. There was this brief period where anarchy RES had only a few NPC bounty hunters, the rest being miners and pirates; and now the fuzz are everywhere sucking the fun out.

Although I haven't deeply searched any high intensity RES's, the few I did farm are significantly quieter. At first that really bugged me, so I moves onto CZ's. While not as profitable as RES's once were, it's still good credit.
I then moved on to try a ouple assassination missions, and I did not expect that to be so difficult. It was! The AI was much more difficult, mix that with becoming wanted in a system really punched up the tension. I really enjoyed it. Plus, it made change my strategy from just tanking everytging. So far, a welcome change, at least in some areas. Speeding limit is a bother thpugh, oh well.

I am in Empire space, and I had clippers, asps, cobras, adders, pythons, dropships...
Very few eagles, no sidewinders. Really enjoyed the Asps as a distractions.

I have not seen an Anaconda so far. But one of the Pythons gave me 150k...

Same here. Get the big fish along with the small but the only Conda I saw in my favourite site was security.
Took about 10 mins to warm up, though despite me being hostile to one faction responsible for most pirate ships they weren't opening fire on me immediately as they did last week. Either my kill on sight status has diminished or something changed in 1.3
Shame as I kinda liked being kos with that faction, even though it meant some hairy moments when they came in wings...

i am still doing tests, but i can give you guys a quick rundown on how i find my condas.
first off leave the core systems, you do not want any competition from other bounty hunters, since bounty hunting seems to have more of an impact on local security now.
look for a system that has a strong criminal faction, criminal factions seems to have higher rating than rebelling factions when it comes to bounties and ship tiers.
search for anarchy system strong holds and look in the systems around them, not in them.
this is because ideally you want the system to be in a bit of turmoil while the anarchy systems them selfs are often pretty stable and unopposed.
what you want to find is a system where the criminal faction has around 40-50% influence, whit a few minor factions that oppose them that will add local bounties to your KWS scans.

system geography also seem to play part, but i am not sure to what degree yet and i am still testing.
i have a feeling that for example high intensity RES sites in a metallic belt further out in the solar system is better then a pristine one that is closer to the star.
i have also had good results in binary systems when hunting around the secondary star.

also be vary of the power influence and avoid any territory that has a security buff (this is important), like for example Hudson's federal systems that increase security by 20% , however it might be worth checking out his imperial systems as they holds a 40% security debuff.
even better is Delains systems where all security is cut whit 50% !!
and Lavigny's systems provide a 20% bonus to bounties
but it could also be wise to hunt outside the power realms if you want the big game like condas, as more hunters means less game.
