My DK2 experience with 1.3.

I don't think the DK2 performance has been this good since Beta 2.
I have my Rift quality maxed now (for the first time ever) and it looks pretty darn good.

I am pleased.

How are others fairing?

Same as 1.2 for me. Micro stutters gone in SC approaching planets, but get very very minor freeze flickers approaching stations maybe related to spawning and high network load.

Same as 1.2 for me, however I only tried it last night when servers were at meltdown

One thing I did notice was while I was in super cruise the gpu usage has dropped to 15% but still had a few micro stutters but putting them down to the server issues last night

Looking forward to a long session tonight

1.3 doesnt work for me at all atm. (Extended) i get the oculus view on the monitor for some reason (happens with my demos as well tho my demos appear in the dk2 as well albeit with increased judder and weird minor double image thing)

Testing the training missions 1.2 it was working great

Dunno what ive done. its a tad annoying.

same works great , but then again never had any issues before with it , was a bit worried about how it would work with 1.3 but as i say same

I downgraded to 0.5 a couple of days ago. Elite was only running (badly) in direct mode in 0.6, and it was much smoother with 0.5 in extended. From what I could gather during the short time I was able to play today, I think 1.3 Powerplay made it even smoother. (note: this is on a very low end rig!)

Maxed settings since 1.3, on a 980, although DSR is still x1. Latest nvidia drivers and Oculus 0.6.0. Loving it.

Looks good to me, but I've downed the res to 1080 and no SS for me, but turned on all the highest settings. Would love to up the res to 1.2 or 1.5x but that's by far the biggest cause of judder for me. GTX970 here. Thinking of going SLI, but want to wait to see if the 0.6 SDK makes a difference if ED ever adds support for it

Nice improvement for me too : I can switch from Low to High and still have a smooth result in the stations

However the juderring near the planet when i'm in hypespace (or when there are too many targets) still occurs ; that's still probably (very) bad in online mode, need to test more

280X + I5 + runtime 0.5

Downloaded the new NVIDIA driver and switched everything from Ultra to High whilst keeping SS x1.5 ... Very smooth except for occasional judder around planets again, though this seems much less frequent.

Overall I am very happy and like some of the 1.3 additions. Haven't gotten into PowerPlay yet.

My 1.3 experience is not good. Got to roll back to 0.5.0 as it just goes black after the initial start up with 0.6.0. Hope they fix it soon. Tried reinstalling drivers and everything else I can think of. Back to high with no shadows at SS1.5.

980 SLI.

Decided to update to the latest Nvidia driver 353.06 from 350.12 still using runtime v0.5, I felt it certainly improved performance for me

Also for people using none 970,980's or Titan X (Maxwell gpu's) I did read in the release notes there was performance improvements for Kepler gpu's

I'm running SDK 0.5 and 1.3 looks much better for me than 1.2. I can raise the quality slider higher and the scale looks much better. No anorexic pilot anymore :)

I must say 1.3 is better for me, much less judder overall, res is smoother, and inside a big starport is also less juddery. very happy

Latest Nvidea drivers but using SDK 4.4 - works very well, this has been a major leap forward to me. Looking at everyones comments, it looks like the later SDK's are having the problems.

I played for quite a long time last night, intermittently fiddling with the settings. At one point I had everything almost maxed out and it worked fine until I docked and pulled up any menus, then it was stutter hell. So, I went back to my "low" settings and it was fine. Overall? I didn't see much of a difference regardless of the settings I set. However, I did not test in all situations, all settings, all environments. Also, even at my "low" settings still got some stutter, in particular around planets and hyperspace.

TL;DR: same as 1.2.

Running Titan x sli, seems better only micro stutter when other players around. One issue is the mouse pointer is duplicated in game. Any fix for this? Cherrs

Yes make sure you put the desktop mouse into view on the rift just after you click to launch the game from the desktop launcher
This removes it from in game
