I'm 500ly from Sol, heading outbound, and jumped into COL 359 SECTOR XX-G B12-2 ... As I was scooping before leaving the system, I saw weak signal source!!!!

I locked on it and slowed down.

Some dirt-bird came all the way out here and unloaded about 80 cannisters of waste!!! Suddenly they were bursting on the outside of my ship like firecrackers!!! I got my shields up and got out of the way.

This sounds like a great way to troll someone. Jump into a system but hang out at the star until you're interdicted. Submit and then unload your payload of waste and run away.

It'd teach pirates to use a cargo scanner, for sure.

Best yet: vent 79 cannisters of biowaste and a palladium bar. Ooh! ooh! I bet if you put one palladium bar in your cargo before the 79 cannisters of waste, you'd still collect all the pirates.

Yeah, sorry about that. The Waste Management Centre was closed so I had to dump them somewhere.

This is interesting as I was about the same distance out and caught a weak signal source myself. As I am running without guns or shields at the moment (stationary temp is 19%!) I'm avoiding EVERYBODY so I didn't go to investigate. I wish I had now.
