Combat Skins Increase Stealth?

Do the Combat Skins actually increase stealth? If you shut down thrusters and switch the ship into silent running does it actually make your ship harder to visually see for both other players and NPC AI?

Yes, and looks make it less or more visible ofcourse. Dont matter to AI but a pink python is more visible than a black one.
