For those Commanders affected by the problems with military ranks, their Federation and Empire progression has been restored to the state just before the release of 1.3

Nice fix right here, it had better not have wiped out all my legitimately gained faction ranks I earned over the last week with the empire, I grinded out 20 naval progression missions to get where I am since friday.

Edward could you please clarify this 'fix' please cause atm if they have simply been reset back to pre 1.3 standings I doubt I will play for a good while, sorry but the lack of specific info on this is concerning.

If I've just gotten demoted back down to Lieutenant I am not going to be happy. Hopefully this is just a fix for folks who completed a progression mission only to discover that they gained rank in the opposing faction.

Hi everyone,

- Fix faction influence levels when many factions experience significant influence drops in a given star system

To address problems from the above issue, all minor faction influence levels in all star systems have been reset back to their state just before the release of 1.3

Thanks

Ed

OK so does this mean that all the work we've done since PP to influence specific systems and generate a double Pending Expansion and a further Pending War will now revert to what it was before we started?

Rank back to pre 1.3 !!! Darn it !!! I had gone up from Baron !!!!!! Just before 1.3 lost a rank progression due to server crash and the job "Expired" whilst offline
Ground back up to Baron, then Viscount now back down to Barron !!!! So back to the grind for viscount, how about fixing 60 + Kills in CG and no combat progression !

This is just to save QA a lot of work manually restoring commanders. The change is not made to do the players a favour, I think.

Seriously? I don't wanna sound rude but.. Really? "Lot of work manually restoring commanders"?? Make a script, i don't care. I usually tend to understand developers side, but not on this one. This is not a fix. As I said, it's a lame workaround. It sounds like: "Hey your game isn't working anymore!" - "Deal with it. We've got the money. Too bad you're playing for nothing".

First they gave me the wonderful joy to explore a 1:1 scale galaxy. Then when things go crazy, i'm spawned back at civilization. Do they know how much time a ~50.000 LY travel requires, for example? Many of us got a work here and only a couple of hours to play. If this is gonna be like this with current server status, better flag exploration as a pure waste of time. I really hope this issue is really fixed or theres gonna be hell on earth.

This. Spent a lot of time getting to Count over the weekend untill today. If a rollback happens, I won't be happy.

Can something be done about the shading loading screen? Can it be loaded once and not every single time I log in?

Nope. If I remember correctly, shaders are either compiled just-in-time as needed or when specifically requested by the program. Once compiled they are cached for as long as the program runs. Shader compilation can be a source of graphics stutter so they are precompiling all the shaders at program startup. The compiled versions do not persist past program exit. This is not something ED can change as the functions to compile shaders are not their code. If it's taking long enough to be frustrating for you at startup, just imagine what it would be (and was, prior to 1.3) doing to your graphics performance if it happened piecemeal, in the background, ingame and taking up your graphics processors cycles that should be contributing to your framerate :)

cool - best about this thread --> 1.3.01 --> let's stay on 1.3.x and get this planetary landing thing done :)) yihaaa - aem and dont forget the targoids....

You guys rapidly fixed what was causing people to MAKE credits (imp slave trading) but are dragging your feet on the known issue of people NOT being able to make credits (feeling lucky to get a 150k payout on a mission with a promised 300k payout).

To bad they don't put you in the last system you jumped from. This is not good for explores.

So what about rank progression missions, are they fixed too? I havent managed to find one for the imperial navy all weekend...
