Thanks for the fixes!

Is the current integrity repair cost a bug or is it intended? It seems pretty high to me, because I can let it go to 0% and pay less by self-destructing my ship for the insurance.

I have been in the void for 50 days. If I crash out and get transported back to where I started and lose all my data, then the Oxford English Dictionary will have to redefine the term "Hissy Fit", and you wont be seeing me on these forums again as ED will be magically transported to the waste bin.

So, basically ship integrity costs are still completely stupid, but you've 'fixed' the ranks that most of us have just worked our collective backsides off to progress with over the last week?

Gee thanks.

Agree...I do not understand all this cry : the changelog text seems very clear:

For those Commanders affected by the problems with military ranks, their Federation and Empire progression has been restored to the state just before the release of 1.3

it seems evident that those who had no problems will not have any rank rollback
however , if that happens ... it would be really frustrating!

- Commanders who cannot load back into the game after a certain type of Hyperspace failure should be automatically rescued to the last system they safely docked in.

Or to paraphrase:

"Commanders who[se game crashes] after a certain type of [bug] should be automatically [dumped back] to the last system they safely docked in, [requiring many hours of travelling to get back where they were]"

Though, if you could reproduce this failure on demand, it could be a handy way of teleporting back to populated space instantly - assuming you don't lose any data when it happens! :)

Any chance you can make black markets visible only once discovered rather than default on the galaxy map.

I vote for this as well. It always made sense to me to have the Black markets remain hidden until you discover them and then have them permanently show up on your map once you do. I don't know if this would be too much work on the dev side to make this happen, but it would be lovely if they could. Out of all the things I'd like to see tweaked, I think a much more interactive and editable map system would be number 1 on my list.

This...

This actually made me mad.

Main issue: explorers getting reset back to last station. Come on guys. That has to be one of the least thought out decisions you've made since release. Right below that, resetting ranks and influence. Not nearly as bad as explorers getting reset, but still very, VERY bad. Oh, and not even a fix for the insane integrity costs? Seriously, how hard could that possibly be to fix?

Oh, not to mention no comment on cartographic data taking 5 minutes to sell per page, meaning people like me who just got back from long expeditions can't do jack ****. And I had been looking forward to getting back for 1.3.

The sheer disregard for things lately, ESPECIALLY for explorers, is extremely disheartening. I'm trying to stay hopeful, but if this keeps up I'm not sure how much longer I can.

Whatever, I'm going to go sleep and maybe when I wake up FD will have gotten themselves together, although at this point I doubt they will.

That's what I was thinking. Let me be the first to speculate here:

THARGOIDS!!:eek::eek::eek:

You forgot the SAP 9 Container with the shard of Newfie Ice in it for Thargoidian beverages.

Attention OCD Explorers: With respect I ask this: Has anyone here ever suffered this certain HyperSpace bug???
Just askin'

Thanks for the patch. It sounds like the FSD jump crash to menu has been fixed, which was the biggy in my opinion. Can you also confirm whether the resetting of players back to the last successfully docked station, will also apply to explorers? I am currently about 4KLY away from home and I don't want to find myself relocated. The fact that I have been having hyperspace jumping bugs makes me sound like a prime candidate for the reset, based on the patch notes wording.

I wont be flying any further until this newly introduced risk is confirmed and (if necessary) reverted.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your patience while the servers are down today... (should be back up at approximately 16.30PM BST)

Here's a list of the changes in Elite: Dangerous 1.3.01:

Client Changes:

- Fix soft lock loading system map
- Fix for route plotting: route isn't cleared anymore each time a target is locked. Route is now cleared only when plotting a new route, reaching the end of the current route or when jumping in another system which is not the next destination on the current route
- Fix NAT handling for text chat
- Art tweaks for vibrant and tactical paint jobs
- Fixed Hangar cameras for DiamonbackXL so the right camera is focusing on the appropriate place
- Increase base repair cost for Diamondback Explorer as it was too low
- Fixed miner loadout with missing mining laser
- Updated Hitman Attacks AI archetype to be more aggressive
- Altruism Missions Will now remove all cargo upon completion
- Massacre Killcounts now update and display correctly across panels
- Make the nearby faction station generator check for permits
- Text fixes for branching massacre and assassination missions
- Audio: enabling diamondback other soundbanks on mac
- Fix HeatSinkLaunchers firing multiple heat sinks
- Fix missing space in news item headers
- Fix a bunch of UI text issues

Server Changes:

- Fix rank benefits for reducing fines and bounties from committing crimes
- Various performance and reliability improvements, including significant improvements for hyperspacing and exploration scanning
- Fix some missing ships that should have been stocked by various powers
- Commanders who cannot load back into the game after a certain type of Hyperspace failure should be automatically rescued to the last system they safely docked in.
- Fix faction influence levels when many factions experience significant influence drops in a given star system

To address problems from the above issue, all minor faction influence levels in all star systems have been reset back to their state just before the release of 1.3

For those Commanders affected by the problems with military ranks, their Federation and Empire progression has been restored to the state just before the release of 1.3

Thanks

Ed

RIGHT ON DEVS..

Thanks. .

Well, this may actually be enough to make me quit. Setting me back six ranks? No, no, no. It's not like I'm going to bother doing any more missions. Sorry about your glitch that you feel made ranking too easy; please don't make it my problem.

So still no fix for drones then? Guess Mining is still one of the featured things still not viable to players.

You know guys, in BETA, ALLOT of the bugs addressed were highlighted yet you still went along with release... I think you really need to start listening to us guys testing, because i'm starting to feel like I shouldn't bother. Why test it when I can just list bugs when it's released..

Yes, I know allot of you are going to complain about my complaining... but hey.. you all know BETA is where this kind of thing should be done, not in release. We've had players who joined the game after BETA of the main game, that have been stuck not able to log in for the past 4 days, without any official response from ED. Everyone expects some teething issues, but it messed up missions, factions, drones, even pay outs have been effected, and now there have been rollbacks. All this could have been avoided with a little more testing, and allot more listening.

I sent off tickets about missions and drones before release.. and when I logged on saturday morning to see the game had been released and there were still issues, well I would like to say I was shocked.. but in all honesty, I wasn't. And that's the real disappointment.

I think most of you need to calm down about the bugs. they are getting to them in their own time, not yours. not to mention the cocky beta testers. you guys are unpaid testers for a beta phase. product doesnt go to beta until the developer has done significant work. beta is just a pre-release version to get basic feedback for release. yelling at the developer for bugs in beta is ing in the wind
