Coaster Crazy Coaster Crazy (PC version?)

Michael, when the game is complete, will it be buyable on Steam?

Do you really want tp pay for a (nearly the same as the free iphone) app ported to PC?

I'm wondering who is able to buy apples overpriced ipad or iphone and young enough to be interested in this game?

I really can't understand this apple hype.

"Got an iPhone? You're in the minority.

There were four Android phones for every iPhone shipped in the second quarter, research firm IDC said Wednesday. That's up from a ratio of 2.5 to 1 in the same period last year.
"

And for all the guys that are saying "there are over 700. thousand apps available"... 99% of them are crap!

Well obviously you:
A. Never have had an apple product
B. Can't afford an apple product
C. Completely butt hurt over android
D. All of the above

Minority? LOL, if by minority you mean my school of 4000+ kids and every 1 in 3 has an iPhone? Minority, is so not the word choice here. There's over 700 thousand apps, yes, 99% of them are crap? LOLNO. First off, there's no way 99% of apps on the appstore can be crap if there's over 700,000 of them because obviously you haven't seen all of them. Second off most of the apps on the appstore aren't crap. Third off have you seen the Android Market iPhone app ghetto copies? Lastly, no I am not an Apple fanboy and of course their 'crap' is overpriced but it can still be useful. Also iPhones are what's in now, Androids are still there...but they're not as popular as they used to be, since the iPhone 4S came out, and now the 5.

EDIT: Also keyword here is "SHIPPED" not bought.

2 in 3 kids in my school have a Blackberry. The rest either have a crap cellphone no-one knows about or an iPhone, like me.

Yeah guys, your're still going to school!
Probably you were toddlers or not even born when I bought my first Nokia... ;-)

I know which things are worth their pricees and which not.
Apple products aren't [iphone5 from 679€(16GB) to 899€(64GB)]!
That's the price of my notebook.

I don't think that there are many good apps for mobiles at all.
Navigation apps, some for time tables of the next bus stop and such things are helpful. Games, better or worse are ok. But other stuff... I don't know

Anyway, Frontier seems to target the wanted audience.
I'm still waiting for a new game like RCT...

i hope for the pc version they incorporate the rollercoaster engine but make it so you have a theme park similar to RCT, but 2012+ style. It's been too long without a tycoon rollercoaster game

Was it said anywhere that the app was going to be free? Serious question. And if the PC app is priced appropriately, sure why not?

Too bad there no such things as parents who are willing to download things onto their devices for their kids to play with.

Oh wait.

Good thing there are companies like Frontier willing to invest in mobile devices by making quality games for the platform. Also there are a lot of great games out there for mobile. Just because you refuse to look for them doesn't mean they don't exist.

Which is what they're showing off now.

2 out of 3 students at my school have an Android device. These things obviously differ from area to area and doesn't say anything about the market as a whole. Also "crap" cellphone? Come on! Not everybody feels the need to pay $200 a month for a smartphone data plan. :p

i didnt see much having to do with RCT in the pocketgamers exclusive video. what did you watch

I saw just one piece of a promising puzzle. Sure in the end it's all depends on how Frontier assembles it, but right now I see an intuitive coaster editor and coasters much more advanced than what we got in RCT.

So you're right, I didn't see anything RCT in the trailers. What I saw, along with what Frontier is promises, looks much better than RCT. Well... Aside from the park guests and rides flying off the tracks, which is still fun in it's own right. ;P

Phew, I was getting very worried that Coaster Crazy was going to be just an app, and not a full size game. Is it just going to be coasters though? I hope not.

Coaster Crazy focusses on coasters, we'll be looking to create other games to feature other aspects of theme parks. The ultimate aim is to end up with a game far superior to RCT3.

Well, I'm willing to support you while you're on the way to this ultimate aim. :)
Any idea when the beta for PC could start? :S

Thank you! I really hope Frontier is able to follow through with this and ultimately create a great new theme park simulation game.

Okay, here is what they want. They want to build "Disneyworld" with 90,000 peeps and have a photo-realistic park that can work across the net. They want flat rides, tracked rides, tons of scenery, animated event props etc. Did you guys really follow TPB3D and read what the community wanted? The "HISTORICAL" rides that mimic real life. This is what they want. RCT4 in a Super mode which is not in existence. This is why the RCT3 community continues to hang on to RCT3 making custom content rather than buying tons of boxes of Thrillville. That sir is reality, what has and is happening. Simply put give park builders the tools to build realistic entire whole parks regardless of ride genre type such as tracked or flat and you sir will reap many profits.

This guys speaks the truth. What he said is what we the community have been wanting for, what, a decade now? Give us the awesome tools of awesome park awesomeness and we will give you our monies, it's very simple.

absolutely right. look at the stuff that has been keeping the RCT community alive, the incredible custom scenery that has been coming out, the CTR Creator that allows players to place ride cars on different tracks or even to create entirely NEW tracks that were not part of the game. the custom flat rides that have been gaining strength, and the Dark Rides, oh man are there some incredible Dark Rides.

none of this stuff will be possible with the game you are releasing.

we want this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5a2qd22Z28&feature=g-user-bul
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVjsj7-spPw

THESE are the types of creations that have kept RCT3 alive so long and kept the money coming in. don't decide that you know what we want better than we do, we have made it pretty clear in every RCT related forum out there.it's your business, but it is our money that keeps you in business.
