Please for equilibrium

There is a thred here on the forum where peoples replies are being deleted just because they do not express the same opinion as the OP, by moderators who clearly are not impartial.

I most respectfully request, that any posts addressing one of the ubiquitous problems that ED has, should be treated equally by the same moderators.

Any reply of the form "I don't have this issue" or "its probably your fault" or "stop whinging", should be treated as off topic and against the spirit of the thread.

Thanks.

Whilst I am far from impressed at the moderation on here, I have never ever seen the moderators delete posts just because of the opinions expressed. The manner in which those opinions were expressed is a frequent reason for moderation - and rightly so.

Having been here since release, I can safely say that I don't have this issue, its probably your fault. :p

The only threads/posts deleted that I've seen have been:

At operators request
Against the forum rules (Which includes openly discussing the mods actions - wait, arn't we doing that here?! :p)
Repetitive posts/threads

I've never really seen posts removed due to personal reasons. If you suspect this I'd advise you respectfully PM the moderator asking why X post was removed or PM a different moderator asking them to check on the deletion of X post by Y moderator.
What I wouldn't do is complain openly as is being done here.

Personally I think the mods do a great job in a storm of the forums at the moment especially with 1.3. Whilst there is a lot of great content, user made content and other stuff there is a lot of useless posts to get through. As an example today alone there has been 7 threads asking about the server status both before, during and after the 1.3.2 update.
Sure some of the rules may be considered excessive but either you have rules (family friendly forum etc) or you don't (reddit) and I'd base my threads and replies on the rules given. I know some people disagree but If you want to name/shame/swear/post cheats etc then frankly why are you here.

Im getting off topic: If it is as you say biased deletion then the above is the best answer instead of open posting but all I can really say is that I haven't personally seen it myself so far.

Tl:dr Never seen deleted posts on anything apart from breaking rules. If what you say is true, however, then yes it is a problem that needs to be addressed but this thread is not the way to do it.

"I've never really seen posts removed due to personal reasons."

I wouldn't be so sure... there's definitely some heavy standpoint bias floating around...

But yes, writing a thread about it isn't the greatest way to fix the said issue.

Eh, maybe I give "benefit of the doubt" too often but honestly if I was a mod I'd go insane, that or I'd have a compulsory pop up screen for anyone with less than 5 threads asking "have you used the search function?" before they could post a thread.
Still it has a long long way to go before it reaches some forum standards where every single slightly negative post is removed instantly. I can't remember which this was, Ubisoft maybe.
