Possible solution to people preparing dumb systems with negative CC

One simple solution is to allow us to use votes to negate preparation. The current ranking of a system in preparation list will be based on :

Preparation done + votes for - votes against.

So, the group can sink in the list whatever is not useful for the community.

Those negative votes are only affecting the ranking list. When it's time to compare preparation with other powers, full preparation is used.

Repped you in the other thread you posted this. I think this is a fine solution which still allows for subterfuge ( either get enough votes or target a system that is not bonkers enough for ppl to really vote against it ... )

If we were given the ability to vote against systems for preparation, it would have to be implemented in a way that you can only vote against systems that would generate negative income. Otherwise, these trolls people are complaining about would just use their votes to undermine the people preparing useful systems, like they apparently are already.

Only if these trolls have enough numbers/votes. Asa long as they are a minority ( and if they aren't subterfuge on such a massive scale should be rewarded imo ) they have no chance to win the votes ...

How is it "subterfuge", when there is no meaningful way to oppose it.

The way it is designed right now, is that for all large player groups it can be more beneficial to join an opposing power and clown about.

It frankly makes a mockery of the entire powerplay system in my honest and not so humble opinion.

Give the NPC power leader 10k nominations and let him/her use them in accordance with the regime. Thus eliminate the stupid player democracy. Sorted.
