1.3 - Is it safe to resume exploration

80-90% reliability? Where do I pay to have that?

I wonder if there's any correlation between internet latency and the mis-scan issues? I feel like my internet is pretty solid and I think I only had to double up on a surface scan one or two times out of 10 last night. I've never experienced a mis-scan on my discovery scanner.

Jumps seem to be fine, no more disconnects. Double honking and double DSS are still occurring, but seem a bit less frequent. And my route planner refuses to chart a route > 250LY or so, which is still very frustrating.

Yes, I can confirm this. Did 1 Kaylee this day without a single disconnect but with quite a few double honks, planets not appearing in the sysmap and the like. Route planning was fine, had no issues.

Hadn't had a single disconnect today (only failed logins at the beginning). Double honks/scans are still present.
Route mapper seems to have improved, it's now responsive enough so that I can "abort" the plotting by selecting another star. Also the chances of a (near) instant plot have greatly improved.

I made it from Sagittarius A* to the Great Annihilator, and now I'm flying back to known space. Covered over 8000LY this evening.

Same good news here. About 100 jumps last night back to Lembeva with no disconnects. Still a few double scans but no double honks required.
.
Selling the Cartographic data went the smoothest I've ever seen it. Approx 15-20 seconds per page to sell the data. Sold 500+ systems worth. This was at around 2100 UTC so both sides of the "pond" should have been online.

Glad to hear that it seems to have settled down as I plan on heading out tomorrow, for the first time since all the connection issues last weekend :)

I've been getting CTDs but I think I've finally sorted it as a local issue - overclocked GTX 980 causing driver issues. I've throttled it back to stock now. I wonder if this is a good excuse to go SLI...?

I spent two hours last night (UK time) selling data at Lembava at about 2 minutes per page, which is much improved but still depressingly slow. The latest patch notes did say that data collected after 1.3 should sell faster; I'm looking forward to that!

Unfortunately, I also spotted a difference between my exploration profits and bank balance. (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=155845) Has anybody else noticed anything?

I had a similar issue last night however it fixed itself after about 5 minutes of sitting in the station. The game remained open in the background while I reviewed the Forums for a solution and when I went back to it, my exploration summary had caught up to my bank account. I looked at your pictures and don't see anything else.

I bit the bullet (having been "Commander Data'd" and returned by support to populated space) and headed out again yesterday. All is good, no disconnects so far and starting to hit the pretties again (furiously touches any wood within easy reach). No issues route plotting up to 1,000Ly (but I am only 6K Ly out of populated space).

Only on this forum would a line like that ever be heard

It's kind of odd, but I'm intending to tool around at about 5KLY away from the core worlds so I can get back sharpish for the CG.

well, Ive made it back to Lembava and am unloading data, its as slow and crashy as it has been, hopefully the new patch will make this the last time I have to do this.

ok spoke too soon...

1,298 systems sold
19,685,135 credits
took about one and a half hours, had one crash.

It does seem to be functioning better. It could still be a better user experience, but not as bad as it has been.

Well they did say it would take most of the weekend to complete that update: -

Hi everyone,

....

- Significant performance improvement to the exploration servers

For those Commanders with a lot of unsold exploration scans from before the release of 1.3, we've started to upgrade the older data to make them as quick to sell as more recent scans. This is a background process, so whilst we have added more server capacity, it will likely take most of the weekend to complete.

Thanks

Michael

Did you explore those systems before or after 1.3? Because according to the patch notes from today it will probably take the weekend until all older scan data made before 1.3 is fully converted to the faster 1.3 version.
