I have grown a deep seeded disdain for CMDR's flying for Arissa Lavigny-Duval after experiencing rampant cowardice in the form of logging while they were undermining a system. Therefore, I will interdict and blow up every ship I see that shows allegiance to her upon scanning.
Yesterday, I jumped into a Winters' controlled system, saw a CMDR in vulture in SC, interdicted him, he actually turned and fought rather than log or run (uncommon for you A D-L supporters), I got his shields down, let him jump back into SC.
I told him he shouldn't be operating in our space with that affiliation. He insisted he wasn't doing the PowerPlay thing, and was simply meeting with friends. He said he was defecting, and wasn't going to back any power. All players that choose not to align with a Power are absolutely safe in Winters' space.
So my question is, how long does it take for a player to show no affiliation after declaring, and then defecting?
Otherwise, the dude was lying, and could be a spy, which would give him membership to the exclusive Kill on Sight club, lucky him.
