Is my exploration data safe nowadays ?

I mean, can I explore the galaxy without the fear of lost data due to server/connection failures and bugs since 1.3 ?

Currently I'm on my way back from my 2 month journey and ~20k LY away from SOL. I've not seen any way to prove if my exploration data is complete and still available.

Are there known issues or do think it's safe to make progress and travel back home ?

No known issues to my knowledge, 50,000Ly away and planning to head back next week. Some people got taken away from exploration space and magically transported to a starport but that's only 90-100 people and has been fixed.
Current biggest problem is new NPC's are pretty amazing. If you feel worried there's an escort thread somewhere for those returning.

It is also quicker to sell now. Also there is a exploration community goal, Lembava I think.

No bugs as far as I am aware, just more interdictions from NPC's. Head to Lembava - Goldstein Dock if you want to help with the CG there

I guess I will have no problems with interdiction. I will try to avoid it to directly move towards a destination.

What benefit do I have with this CG ? How do I sign up ? Do I have to be in open mode ?

Works in Solo, just check the bulleting board first, sign up & then sell the data. If you have 1000+ systems you will be in the top 5% for sure. Currently at tier 4 which is a 4.5m Cr bonus if I remember correctly.

Just a quick word of warning - if you're flying an unshielded explorer ship I don't recommend taking it anywhere near a CG site.
It's not unusual for other players to be sitting there looking to take down traders/returning explorers. I always switch to a different (more populated space capable) ship for that final leg.

I haven't experienced much by way of interdictions since returning late on Thursday. I'm flying around in a well shielded Asp selling data to get system permits, and have only been interdicted twice by NPCs. Both times I submitted and boosted out before they got a shot on me.

I returned back after 2 months exploring. I took a note before I headed out how many systems ive been visiting and when I got back I had in total about 3100 system to hand in.
But something must have happened as I only had 2700 systems to sell. So 400 systems have not been registered.
And I do scan every system properly so they show up on the system map. So its nothing I have done wrong.

^^THIS is what the thread is all about. Since opening the OP I travelled 900 LY. Maybe all for nothing. I mean every profession can verify the result of all the efforts.

Trader: can see how many cargo and what type of cargo they have loaded
Bounty Hunters: can see how much bouties they can check in to which faction
Miners: can see how many minerals they have in cargo

But explorer do not know anything about the value of their data and how much worth it is. The only thing I can see is how many unique systems I've visited. Thats a little bit obscure.
