I doubt there's any value for them advancing the graphics beyond the capabilities of the XBone.

I can imagine that commanders who backed KS or started with PB1 and spend quite a lot of money on it they feel back stabbed when they are going to read this. XBONE getting content first before the loyal commanders who made ED possible to start with. I missed KS and started with PB1 ($150) and I've to say I'm NOT happy with it. How on earth could David Braben think this is a good idea. Pretty sure the forums will explode about this. Can't say this is the most brilliant step FD took. Its as brilliant as the removal of a true offline mode.

The game universe is going to be fractured, all the backers on pc, get sold out, FD do deals to bring in money for the share holders, seems xbox and mac get the content before pc, just dollar signs? yes.
Well see a great exodus from the game when "The Division" kicks in Fallout 4 and a good old handfull of games kick in.
This Elite Dangerous is still baby walking, all the mess-ups all the speel it is the best it is lacking in all areas, it has no backbone no story, nothing but a space sim, bolting in missions, and powerplay....
well it came from an old frontier game about powers, just like risk...
I can not see any future, it is too slow, not enough content, a grindfest, and to keep fiddling under the bonnet ie nerf to please a crowd, the game is as is, it sold as is, now a nursery painting contest.

Sorry im completely behind the times but what is CQC?
Basically it's Call of Duty, or more like Unreal Tournament, in a ship. I for one, will be avoiding it.
We knew that there was going to be XB exclusive stuff, so if they had to build something I have no interest in, rather than getting the basics done (like, you know, exploring), then at least I will not feel left out during the exclusive period.
This kind of ill-conceived sales boosting attempt (it's nonsensical to release early patch content as something 'new', when the whole game is new to the Xbox) does not endear you to a lot of PC fans.
Just how do we know this kind of Xbox pandering won't continue-- so long as they throw money at you.
Just remember who payed for your game on Kickstarter.

Who really cares about some arena mode? I say fair play to Frontier for this. Doing a release on consoles requires certain exclusivity. It goes with the territory and is perfectly normal for any high profile game and I am guessing is actually part of the way the business works. I don't care for an arena mode. I wouldn't knock anyone who does but if this is the trade off we have to put up with instead of missing out on some proper content I would gladly let them have it.

It was always going to be cross platform. When the money from the Xbox version is bring used to make the PC updates, will you still be moaning?
The current expectations is that XBone will play in the same BGS as everyone else. Whether they can interact with everyone else will be decided upon by the devs...who have said they do not want to hold up PC expansion because of Microsoft QC...which probably means they will play in their own galaxy..where no one can touch or be touched by them..except for all the PP and BGS interactions that everyone shares.
Wow...CQC looks amazing. I wonder how loadouts will be determined. If there set MP loadouts or if you can bring in your own ships. I might have to double dip!!!
