Wow amazing pics. I totally see what you mean, btw. I wasn't a fan of that ship before actually using it first for trading, then for its reigning field: exploring. The bond was made there.

Exactly this mate. ^^
Of course there are another very fine ships there but this bond and memories of months of adventures out in the black one on one with this craft will remain. For that I love this ship. :)

Not sure why but pictures like this make me wish we had planetary landings sooner rather than later.

Man I can't wait. :D
@LoneTrucker, where was this planet sinking in a star from your sig? I have to see it for my own eyes. :) I remember I did read the system name in some of your posts but didn't took the note... Shame on me. ;)

Edit: haha, it's further in your sig! Nevermind. :D

Yeah thats the main reason i went so close. Although i would prefer if they took their time with planetary landings. That kind of stuff will have to come after the FPS module (or at least the "walking around" module) and after open stations, open ships, and spacewalks.

I sincerely hope that planetary landings wont be just randomly generated terrain to take a selfie and hop back into your ship to go on, but will be what they promised. Explore nature, hunt the alien wildlife, drive around in land vehicles, etc.

Lol, this is cool - a hunter-killer with little puppies. :D

That would be an AWESOME idea: armed disposable limpets that annoy enemy ships with repetitive laser fire or constant banging against their hulls. Just like the fighter drones in the X Universe series. It could become a viable defence mechanism for traders and miners.

But yes, I like my army of limpets. They even cast their own shadows as you can see.

Haha, and then you could just stand aside watching and saying...
