Give me ONE reason why I should buy XBONE version of E:D over a PC one

Yesterday I recieved this E-mail from our beloved Frontier team https://imgur.com/k682Cp0

I am asking devs or users for giving me ONE reason why I should buy Xbone version of E:D over a PC version ( let alone buying it second time)

I felt like Frontier devs think I complete idiot after recieving this e mail....

Because you may already own an XBO and don't feel like building/buying a PC just for one game?
So, your question is serious??

While I'm always up for a bit of bug complaining and missing-feature-bashing, this one is amusing. Don't have an XBOX? Fine, don't buy it. Got an XBOX and don't want to play on it? Fine, don't buy it. Got an XBOX and consider playing on it as it's hooked to your big home cinema setup? Cool, got a voucher and a discounted price.

What's there to moan about?

I'm really considering to get another account on the XBox... I could spank my 11YO son without getting trashed from my wife - that may be worth it! :)
I'd be careful with that as I don't think there's a guarantee for cross-platform with PC/Mac and console, quite the contrary.

Having the same thoughts as the GF, believe it or not, likes the game.

My friend's PC isn't up to the task, so he's getting the XBox one version...
Although he has a PC copy that has barely been used now sitting doing nothing :/

And now we get to the real reason CQC is exclusive to XBone first, so everyone who is playing on PC and is too impatient to wait until Christmas will basically be conned into spending another £25.
Another great idea from David "Dollar" Braben.

I had this issue too with an NVIDIA card when playing with older drivers. -> Try to update your drivers.

Thanks, but already did that months ago and it worked (AMD) here. Just making the general statement some people just want to play after coming home from work, without dealing with pc-issues. Cant blaim them.

That's not beyond the bounds of believability, after all the moon landings were faked, after knowing that I can believe anything.

Fortunately I have a girlfriend with a law degree and a pretty well paying job, and she doesn't mind leaving me at home to play with the GTX 980 and oculus rift she got me for Christmas while she goes to work. :D

HATE ME! :p

You are mistaking jealousy with hate there, they are not the same thing. ;)

The only reason that matters...

You value an Xbox One version enough that you'd pay for it.

All other factors are subjective or present cases that aren't universal.

It is the same game (if only differing for a short time), the only value add is being able to play it on Xbox One in the Microsoft garden. If you value those things, that is all that is important.

Actually, if I could afford an XBox, or had one, I'd buy ED again. I love my PC, but there is something nice about slobbing on the sofa with friends and playing a game that you generally can't do with a PC. Many happy hours playing GTA and CoD with my brother on a Friday night. Wouldn't have quite been the same in two black swivel chairs and a small monitor.

for me there is no reason. If CQC was actually properly integrated into the main game then I would probably buy it at full price because I like supporting British companies, because then I could play it at some friends or play it when looking after nieces and nephews who all have xbox ones but as it just a tact on game that has nothing to do with the main game there no reason for me to buy it and I have no intention of playing it in when it comes to the PC. It hard enough for me to find time to play the game as it and to improve my ship in the main game and gain ranks and I rather spend what little time I do have playing the proper game. An I can play elite on my 65 inch anytime I want anyway as my pc is linked up to it.

I presume this question was primarily aimed at people who have both a Xbox one and a PC.

I can think of a few that might apply to people:

* Simply want to
* Want to be in the living room
* Want to use the big TV the Xbox might be attached to
* Want to play CQC before Xmas
* XB1 more powerful than your PC.
* Want to play with Xbox friends that don't have PCs

Now they wouldn't all apply to me, particularly as I don't have an Xbox, but it's quite easy to imagine these simple reasons people would switch, or play on both.

Now as to you, I don't know your circumstances, neither do FD, so I'm not sure I or anyone else can give you ONE reason why YOU should buy the XBox version. It seems quite obvious you don't want to. So it's fairly moot really.

I'm also pretty sure given the rude and demanding tone that you won't be getting a dev response any time soon. Unless of course you mention yaw and invoke the power of the Mighty Michael Evans. That's not gonna be the response you were after though!

* Simply want to (already have the game so no thanks, and no other titles for xb1 appeal to me)
* Want to be in the living room (already am and on the couch and using Hotas)
* Want to use the big TV the Xbox might be attached to (already am nice big 50")
* Want to play CQC before Xmas (couldnt care less about it i want to play Elite Dangerous not Deathrace in Space)
* XB1 more powerful than your PC. (pfft not likely give XB1's specs)
* Want to play with Xbox friends that don't have PCs (i have more friends in the pc game and on my stream account than on xbox)

as for the devs pretty much every dev response so far has been the same patty cake responses "its good" , "its ideal for the platform" yada yada yada.. i've given up reading them as we're not gonna get a true explanation, though most of us have peiced it all together anyway. cest la vie!

well i am going to buy that xbox one just for ed now. well it may have other decent titles too.

i loved coming from pc to n64 for golden eye. maybe ed can do the same thing for that ms box... =)

fed up a wee bit with pc gaming, too much bother. maybe i am have become too lazy? so xbox sounds like a nice idea - thanks ^^

Because I don't have a PC. (I actually do have PC, but for others it is a valid point)

Not everyone has a PC, you know.
