Starting to feel that Combat is Rewarding

That's...a bit more than I would expect. I imagine that's gonna get nerfed. Remember what they did when all the traders were pulling in huge profits from imp slave smuggling? Granted, that was still around 20 mil an hour, but this still seems pretty obnoxious for an hour and a half. Mind me asking what you're piloting?

The Devs have detector vans that browse the forums looking for exactly this kind of thing. So if you want to keep those great profits - shush :)

Python Pretty much everything was taken down with 3 gimballed pulse lasers. I had a couple of heat seeking missile launchers, but they appeared to be closer to the chipped paintwork end of the death and destruction scale.

The first quarter of an hour or so was pretty slow, with only three or four ships turning up. After that they were queueing up for me to shoot them, with me just finishing one Python off whilst a Clipper wandered up with it's cheery "what are you carrying?" greeting.

If anyone who matters is listening, I'd recommend that every large ship arrives with a couple of escorts. They made the fights far more interesting, significantly more difficult, and hardly any more profitable (e.g. Python was 180K, two Eagles were 12Kish a piece).

Is it just me getting absolute garbage in RESs at the moment? Just did 40 minutes and ended up with 350k creds. Reset the instances a lot, and it didn't seem to help at all.

Same here...been at it for 1.5hrs. Made about a mill. Tried resetting a couple dozen times

You need to consider the type of person you want to be. Do you want to be someone who always disbelieves, even when there is no reason to disbelieve, or do you want to be someone who trusts because there is no reason to disbelieve? Because, and here's the secret, it's a choice you can make. The "pics or it didn't happen" crowd aren't the cool kids, they're just the distrustful ones.

By the way, the latter do get hurt more, but generally end up happier.

You need to consider that just because someone questions something, it doesn't mean they are pessimistic or a "disbeliever" ; that was the big premise behind the "proof / no proof" discussion, it goes both ways you know.

Scientific Procedure / Process requires you to question information given to you, and to proof it. You gave "evidence" and so it was entirely valid to question it. I don't see where the problem is in that, and if you do ..well...then I guess you just want a world where everything has to be taken at face value, and avoid any sort of "hurtful feelings" or defensiveness for a disagreement or question.

The "pics or it didn't happen" folks are the ones that don't go around believing everything said on the internet. We all know how easy it is to take something out of context on here...or misinterpret it as something its not.

Yeah resetting doesn't seem to help much. I wonder, could it be that they have finally tied RES spawns to local conditions? Because that would be great!

I will have to go and check some other systems with different population and security levels. See if that makes a difference.

not sure about that, I was hunting in Faust 68 tonight and made about ~4 million in about 2 hours of fightin'. me and a wingman jumped out of the instance once or twice and then got a steady stream of high ranked pythons/clippers/vultures, it was a high intensity RES site, in a system with a very weak unfettered faction and high security.

never did see an anaconda......

I have to say the OP was very lucky in his spawn and had to have extreme killing efficiency to make the money he claims to have made in 90 minutes, because we calculated we made the equivalent of 5.6 million credits an hour(but we split it) in our last hour with a great spawn that happened, but to imagine it would have to be like twice as good a spawn as what I saw would be kinda ludicrous(must have been wings of pythons at once or something)

and we almost got killed a few times, closest was against a 5 npc wing led by a python, sweet battles the new AI definitely makes me earn my pay lol

I'm very happy they fixed RES sites though, my friend I play with its like what we do so good thing they are back hunting for conflict zones in the interface is kinda meh.

Well, I made about 13 million in 2.5 hours yesterday. But this was with the Lavigny-Duval bonus of 40% at the moment.

So that would have been around 9.2 million after the 20% bonus incurred in lavigny-duval territory.

So we are looking at 7.6 million in 2.5 hours.

That equals 3.04 million per hour.
