Give me ONE reason why I should buy XBONE version of E:D over a PC one

I can think of a few that might apply to people:

* Simply want to
* Want to be in the living room
* Want to use the big TV the Xbox might be attached to
* Want to play CQC before Xmas
* XB1 more powerful than your PC.
* Want to play with Xbox friends that don't have PCs

Now they wouldn't all apply to me, particularly as I don't have an Xbox, but it's quite easy to imagine these simple reasons people would switch, or play on both.

Now as to you, I don't know your circumstances, neither do FD, so I'm not sure I or anyone else can give you ONE reason why YOU should buy the XBox version. It seems quite obvious you don't want to. So it's fairly moot really.

I'm also pretty sure given the rude and demanding tone that you won't be getting a dev response any time soon. Unless of course you mention yaw and invoke the power of the Mighty Michael Evans. That's not gonna be the response you were after though!

they also might like playing games at 30 fps and at 720 p or whatever upscaled image it will end up with...

bugs me that you put wants to play in living room with big tv lol..........my pc is in my living room hooked up to the tv......every controller apart from the hotas is wireless.
not all of us pc gamers like to hunch over a desk and play on a keyboard.

my pc is just one big super console really.......

agree with your other points though....

Have to say I was rather bemused by the silly email too.

Yeah, I'll dump my Hotas and buy an XB to play with a controller. ..not.. ;)

That was my thought as well. Most of my mates who have consoles only have the controller, no keyboard etc. Now for me on the PC, I have a Thrustmaster HOTAS system and use every button, some many times over and wish there were a couple of more buttons on the throttle! So how is someone going to go on the console with just a controller with very limited buttons and no keyboard? Kind of boggles the mind if you think about it lol

the reason for this is simple:
hype cashgrab

Since when is a cash grab a bad thing for game you want to continue being developed on the platform of your choice? Since when is a voucher that has real monetary value a bad thing? Get some perspective please.

Should all be glad they even offered it. If you happened to want to pick it up, its now cheaper for you. If you didn't, it doesn't affect anything.

It was meant to be a multiplatform release from the word go. It was right there in the Kickstarter pitch but you complain now that they're actually following through on that.

Exactly. And if you get into the preview release in the next 6 weeks, it's only £19.99 with the £5 discount.

It's the same game. Simple as that. I don't know why there's any misconception that it'll be "easier" on XB1. Same game exactly.

Sorry OP, I simply can't find a single reason.

Do you want to play it on the PC or the XB1? If it's on the PC, then you have no reason to buy it on XB1. Simple as that. However, there are reasons why other people would. I think the OP is trolling pretty badly. I can't think of one reason why I should buy a pink umbrella, even for £1. Can you?

and they are getting some sort of HMD i think its occulus......but it wont have VR....just a giant cinema screen bwaahh hhaa haaa.....

haaaa hhaaaaa.........

still cackling like a maniac......

oh they will be bored after a month or 2,my mate jase often come round mine on a friday night....he has a xbox one.....i have even given him a go
in my elite setup cockpit....you name it,i got it.....even a occulus thrift.

when i asked him if he would get it,he just laughed and said "im not a space geek"

Xbox version has saved me around £2000 quid, am away from my main PC whilst on business for 3/4 months. Seriously considered building another rig while I'm in the UK. Now I'll have an Xbox that can travel with me to hotels, no VR or HOTAS but it will work perfectly as a portable solution when I'm away from my Monster Rig

Interesting, this does provide a solution the problem of travel.

Will FDev allow you to keep your save across both systems though, if your Xbox Live account is the same as your FDev account?

From what I understand the answer is 'no' at the moment. My main account is 25000LY from SOL, I don't mind playing on another account for the next few months on Xbox, will do more piracy & combat. Hopefully eventually I can use my main account on the xbox while away from home

What Alex said ^

I got it for two reasons - One, a friend who is not a PC owner got it on Xbox, largely because he'd seen me playing it on PC. So I want to be able to wing up with him and help him through some of the growing pains, and Two, more money for Frontier to use to further develop the game.

Yesterday I recieved this E-mail from our beloved Frontier team https://imgur.com/k682Cp0

I am asking devs or users for giving me ONE reason why I should buy Xbone version of E:D over a PC version ( let alone buying it second time)

I felt like Frontier devs think I complete idiot after recieving this e mail....
Here's two:
1)cqc
2) in the long run it will likely have a larger gaming base, so more Player interaction

I play on my laptop when traveling... Graphics for Ed are not intense, and a decent lappy handles it at highest settings with no problem. Why drag an xbone around??

I have ED installed on a fairly good laptop at the moment, it runs like crap. No way can you get a laptop that runs ED well for the same price as a Xbox.

Xbox one is pretty cheap, fairly portable, I see no reason why not too use one over the next few months.

If someone can quote a laptop for under £1000 that can also run my DK2, I would certainly consider it over the Xbox

This is just silly. If someone wants to play it on an Xbox, then good for them. Pc? Good for them also. What is it hurting you how other people decide to play the game? No, it doesn't affect you at all how someone, or what someone plays on. If they could play on a monkey's bum it still wouldn't affect you. Nobody's forcing you to do anything, just relax and do your thing.

None. We have an XBox One where I work to test our code on. I downloaded the Elite preview. Trying to fly with a game pad is an . Unless they allow you to hook a flight stick up to your Xbox, it's not worth the time.
