Has this game been released or is it in Early Access?

Just wondering if we are in early access or are we playing the released version of Elite? According to the Microsoft conference it is still in early access.

Also could Alpha and Beta backers get an update on the when we will get the 1 of 5 free ships and the Art book?

My personal opinion is that I'm still playing beta, and will continue to do so until planetary gameplay has been properly implemented.

Note: I am enjoying beta very much, and not complaining. I love this game. :)

Ruff, you may as well dispense with the notion of a MMO being "released" as any kind of complete product. None have ever been so... that I have ever seen anyway. They have all been " released" incomplete with major features unfinished... why I even remember the early days of SWG. We didn't even have vehicles in game, much less any sort of space combat. That's pretty much the norm in my experience. Once development is officially "finished", server shutdown soon follows.

However, it is quite "playable" Currently.

XBox: Early Access (but the full content of the released game is there, it's more like a "let's make extra sure everything works on the XBox" beta).
