A new Silk Road Route?

I think there is an opportunity for a new Silk Road Route in the Utopian Systems. A lot has changed with the rise of Powers. Unlike security benefits provided by some of the Powers and the clear security weaknesses of others, the increased fines and bounties provide by the systems of Utopia benefit all Commanders, no matter the systems faction leaning. Who could I contact from the Silk Road for advice?

I was on the naughty step for a week. Too many daft posts and videos. How's life Arry?

Have you Pledge support to Utopia yet, I think they could do with some friends. I'm trying to tie all the Dark Wheel stuff and Utopia together... there's so much going on!

I am pledged to the plastic princess, my long term plan is, to marry her and take over the cosmos.

Ben, just a point on the side here. I get that you are with Antal and doing your best for Utopia etc but at some point seeing your continued and (somewhat) repetitive messages/threads gets a tad old. I remember only a few weeks ago when you were posting left right and centre about the pilots federation, Diso corn, exploration etc.

Don't get me wrong, you are well within your rights to promote and are offering good advice but at some point it starts to feel like a propaganda campaign ;) Whilst one or two people promoting is ok imagine if dangerous discussion was awash with 30 threads about Hudson vs Winters vs Duval etc.
Just my thoughts, don't stop whatever you do because you are offering good advice and its kinda needed but at somepoint I start to wonder if it belongs in community events section or powerplay lore/roleplay section. I don't really know what im saying here but just something I noticed. :)

That's no problem. I'm new to power play and I'll ask for the thread to be moved to Power Play. Yup, I'm going to continue supporting the pilots federation, the dark wheel and independent trading. I think they fit nicely with the Utopia Ethos.

I started putting together a rival route The Stellar Caravan before Powerplay...but I decided to wait for PP to happen in case it changed things.

was trying to find a route that encompassed these main factors:

  • not the BEST trades but very good ones:super profits often attract big ship traders using trade software, rinsing them out quickly.
  • nearby systems: rather than long distance, tried to get close systems, so there would be a chance of also picking up bulletin board missions
  • close in stations: the closer the station to the primary star, the quicker the route = less interdictions
  • variety of stations: tried to get most large station types, each variation including the palm tree interiors
  • variety of controlling factions: I only managed a mix of Federation, Empire, and Independent...but would be good to also include Alliance, so rep is earned for all
  • variety of goods: so it doesn't get boring, Palladium / Performance Enhancers over and over and over and over...
  • reasonable length route: not too short that all markets get rinsed and it's tedious, but not too long that you won't see other players, disparate and lonely...

Happy to share with someone who wants to take it over what I sorted so far...but it's a bit broken and all over the shop to be honest!

Are there links to these daft videos? I need something to watch at night.

I dare not even mention the ones I think I posted.. I was very drunk.

But I also got a two point infraction for a tame one that was just a link to a Carry on Scene when soemone had posted saying their should be an 'Infamy' rank.
The one that goes Infamy Infamy they've all got it Infamy.
