My personal hope is that this forum doesn't devolve into huge 3rd vs. 1st person flaming threads just because DB mentioned 3rd person starship interior exploring.
Too late.

Both. At the same time.
I want to see my own bottom.
Its confirmed by the journalisr he made a typo, David said 1st person.
Yaaayy !, all I need now is a pony.
Is that £25 or rhyming slang?Yaaayy !, all I need now is a pony.

1st or 3rd pony?
Actually, second person would be funnier. I can walk YOU around your ship...

I prefer 1st person only. Unfortunately very few games can swing both 1st and 3rd correctly without feeling wooden or sloppy in their implementation.
You are right unfortunately, the industry standard for view modes should be (IMHO) Star Wars Jedi Outcast 2002, you could could switch between 1st and 3rd with the touch of a button or set an option to play 1st person until you drew a lightsaber at which point it switched automatically to 3rd.
Good game, maybe I should play it through again.
The only game I recall playing that I thought worked in both 1st and 3rd person instances is every Hitman after the 1st one. Lately the gold standard for 1st and 3rd has been anything by Bioware but 1st person is just awful in Mass Effect or any of the Star Wars Old Republic games.
if there is going to be combat while on foot then 1st person only for me, cant stand the whole camp the corner and still see round it thing
