Any new news from e3 they said they had a news besides cqc what is it ?

You have a point there BUT news from Michael Brookes about "XBONE optimizing and benefits that flow into the PC/MAC version" was officially announced by David. The wording made it unclear to me if it would done on E3 or that MB would release info later this week. Well two more days to go before this week is over. For me a week starts on a Sunday.

Well, Michael is online as I post this and far as I know he's not in E3. So most likely they are doing article today.

And this ladies and gents is how NoMan'sSky and SC won, because the first game of the three failed to do anything major with all that headstart. Shame...
Hyperbole much? You are comparing 2 games not even released to a product already on the market. How do you know what will be included in SC when (if) it will be released? Do you really know SC will include everything that is promissed? Do you know what NMS final gameplay will be? Good for you, you have precognition power and you should play the lottery.

It's possible that MB will post something today on the community blog. Also, after re-reading DB's entry on said blog, we will get news about the future of Elite later, not this week. So far they've followed what was said in this blog entry.
Xbox One rease and CQC are already pretty big for the studio, even if they amount to little of interest for us PC players.

I wasn't expecting ED PC news this week. Soon most of the time means, can take a while ;-)

Is there a link somewhere about the CQC stuff, and when it's likely to appear on XB1 and PC/Mac? I think the E3 presentation was a bit strange too. DB is a great speaker, and usually takes his time to gather himself and comes across really well. Maybe it was simply a timing issue and he was asked to cut it short? A shame, but it to a large extent E3 is like every one of those things. Self-congratulatory nonsense by the big boys, and claps on the back for the small companies' huge efforts. *sigh*

Yeah, I read that. Nothing in that suggested to me that we should expect any new stuff for E: D. Just that Michael would explain how working on the different things they had to optimise for the XBox led to improvements that were beneficial to the other platforms too.

Is that an offer?

Sounded more like a threat

Not much out there. I assume you have seen the video? There is a blog on the 'community site': https://community.elitedangerous.com/

CQC will be on the XBox 'soon'. Sounds like they wanted it to be ready for E3, but missed it. It has been built for a while - they have been testing (bit of) it for months they say somewhere. CQC is on an exclusivity deal on the Xbox, so we will see it when that deal ends. The 'official' word on that was 'holidays' (I kid you not), which most of us take to mean in time for Christmas. Presumably Microsoft wanted a 6 months deal, but you can see why FD would not want it to become available on the PC in January.

SQEEEEE was probably the cheque from FD arriving in the post 
I wonder how many people on here played Myst III Exile? They'd know what a Squee is ...

I agree that what happened is out of the ordinary with David Braben. He's done hundreds of public appearances by now so it's likely there was something going on behind the scenes that made him lose track. It was very strange that he didn't stick around after the Planet Coaster announcement video either.

Just watched it. Wow, it really looks like he was interrupted by someone in his earpiece. He looks very upset afterwards. Well, if he has anything to say we'll be happy to read about it in the dev blog, wether it be about this incident, or what he was actually going to say :p

although the question is for another poster, I can tell you NMS has more launch features, have seen the feature list and it is most impressive, including planet landings, crafting, trading, exploring etc.
As for StarCit, the launch features are long known. Single player campaign, walking around, planets, humans, aliens, alien languages, FPS, boarding, mining etc. will all be there at launch.

Yup. He was told to shut up.

This is not in the league of "Rosebud", or Fermat's Last Theorem. :)

Honestly, if that had been me I'd have made it clear that some producer had just pulled the plug rather than getting flustered and then doing the wonderful English stiff upper lip, 'mustn't grumble' routine. In the film he will be played by an ageing Hugh Grant
