Achievements - What would you like to see there?

This morning i was listening the latest Lave Radio episode in which they talked over possible Achievements
as XBOX seems to have them (i think i saw a menu point there in a twitch stream) and Steam also has this possibility.
I agreed with the Lave Radio staff it could be a cool thing IF they are meaningful and not just killed 5 pirates.

I would like to see a "Lousy Hutton Orbital Visitor Badge" and one for visiting Sag A*.
Maybe also some for SOL, Achenar and Alioth and for Nebulars.
This really could lead some people who say there is nothing to do in this game into visiting stuff by show them a hint in that direction.

What would you like to see as Achievements or Badges?

I hope they're for actual achievements like visiting various notable Systems, trading certain hidden goods, killing special named NPCS they hide across the universe, visiting the primary star of every constellation etc.

Not like fly 5000 kms, fly 1000 kms, trade a bag of grain to a communist factory from a capitalist one etc.

Depends on the audience that FD are aiming for, and given recent updates by FD i have no clue who that is any more.

They can go the subtle approach (Ark Survivor does that with having 2 - gather end game items and killing end game boss) so perhaps FD could have 3 achievements : gain Elite in Trade, Combat and Expration

They can go the sledge hammer approach and have an achievement for everything so 'you deployed hard points - achievement' 'you shot your first X Vipers - achievement' etc

Don't want achievements. Don't need achievements. It's like chilling wine or beer: it's just a cover-up for something that lacks an intrinsically pleasing flavor. Elite Dangerous doesn't need a cover-up. There's already plenty to do. It doesn't need artificial arbitrariness added to it.

You drink warm beer?? You're a sick man. ;)

I have found achievements are only for - dare I say it - the younger generation who expect and demand reward for any and every action they take. The game itself should be the achievement, ED currently has enough rewards built in to satisfy all but the most demanding player. Currently, there is credits, reputation, rank, status - what else do you need?

"Back of beyond" or "Black stump and back", for those that have gone 65Kylies from Sol.

Or perhaps a "4 corners of the galaxy" badge...

Though, honestly, I couldn't really care less, the XBone can keep the badges :)

Z...
