Update update and other update

The game plays perfect no issues there only suprised the update go's so slow on my side (have to note live in Spain ) will try again today. I love the game and try to do some exploring but then I need to update .

I haven't been on in a week and today when I entered the game the lag/stutter was unbearable, worst I've seen. Impossible to engage in combat or even dock without the DC. pauses and slow response during game play make it unplayable. I was wondering if it was just me. I didn't see an update when I started the game today. Is this a manual update?

Updates are mandatory to play the game i think. If you want to play you have to update and can't bypass it. AFAIK.
Lag and stutter could be the connection when playing in open and with many players in the same system when in super cruise.
This are the only scenarios where the game has ever serious stuttered on me.

Paying a lot for this game but spend a whole night updating the damn thing and they you come with a other update are you joking I would not mind but the update process sucks it is sooooooo slow it takes almost 9h and sometimes it fails and I have to try 4 times. Pfffff rant over
In all these weeks I could only play it once realy getting fed up.

blimey it only takes me 2 mins to download the full client, I think you need to change your internet provider.

Not sure what the problem is - but I don't think it's the game itself. Best guess is your download speed. Playing the game requires much less bandwith than the update itself, still, for an update 9h is not normal at all. Takes a few minutes for me. Maybe someone is stealing your net? Getting throttled by your provider? I don't know.

Yup - there are far too many people paying money to sub-par ISP's, and far too many sub-par bandwidth backpackers calling themselves ISP's. They should all go bankrupt and face criminal charges.

You will whine if there are issues that are not fixed and you whine when there are updates.

Normally there are many and frequent updates after a big patch and then it settles down.

All night to do an update? Sounds like you should be changing or complaining to your isp to me.

Only took me 13 minutes to download the whole game, upgrades are taking under 5 minutes depending
on how large they are. Have you tried turning off any firewall and security software, I know that's not ideal but sometimes
it works, something could be blocking your downloads,

Still again I tried to play this nice game now and of course I ahve to update all gamd again.

And still I got stuck with file sync in update.

Can you there in server side really finally fix this problem ie. put own update server up or something that players don't have to wait for when they update is complete, please?

And tell to us how you going to fix that lag problems with updates because it seems to me that anyone really don't react or reply to that promblem to players. That sisin't good pr for game if tha lag problem exist long time.

I recommend you the Steam version then.
Set it at high update priority and get the updates automatically when steam is running.
There the updates are at full speed and have no issues as i had before.

One of the things I like about having the Steam version .. keeps it up to date for me most of the time without having to wait when I want to play.

If that is the case, you have a problem with your Internet connection.

It takes you 9 hours to update?? Dayum. That's something with your internet I'm pretty sure, not ED, it seems to update fine for most people, could be wrong tho
