If you do end up at the insurance screen, remember you have a 600k loan available and you can strip any upgrades you made to the FdL to try and bring the insurance cost down to something you can afford.
It would appear you have learned two very hard lessons in a short span of time. I do hope there isn't a third on your event horizon.

OK OP, go here : https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=150703&p=2431126&viewfull=1#post2431126

I've never used their services but these guys are as close to the professionals in fuel recovery as you're going to get.

OK it looks like the Fuel Rats are a huge let down.

I take it back, they're not professionals at all. Gotta love a "service" that sits in judgement of someone needing help. =(

OP, stuff happens, we're all idiots, chances really are ultra-slim but if you want to try I'll get some fuel limpets and we can give it a go.

PM me or something.

The asking for cargo is to add RP and immersion, which I think is a good thing. It's also up to each individual Fuel Rat. In the video I watched, Anuranium delivered the fuel and didn't ask for anything.

Ahh Anuranium is a Fuel Rat? I didn't realise, apologies.

Anuranium if this job goes ahead and you want a +1 I can assist.

if the OP had given any location some of us fuel rats would be already on our way. but it seems he dont want to be rescued at all

Not going to be a great outcome.

To be fair I took my FDL for some nuisance work against Torval. 2 hours later I glance down, holy C! nearly out of fuel. Another 15 minutes and I would have been toast.

Fdl = small tank = short endurance. It's a sprinter.

Having said that...leaving it untended? No insurance? Oh well. There's a learning experience in everything. Or not.

19 seconds of air is also an extremely short timeframe to navigate to someone even if they are in the same instance. Run out of air, pilot dies, ship goes boom. The odds of a fuel transfer succeeding before the ship explodes are very small indeed.

this smells like a troll to me, was legit until the AFK after launch of T9 thats just too suspicious

I think your desire to have faith in the intelligence of humanity is laudable, but ultimately misplaced ;) People are dying to stupidity in all sorts of fancy ships, it's far too easy to reach the big credit craft without ever having to learn the ropes.

Actually your loan is way higher now, depending on rank. Its about 2.5 million for me, about the base cost of an FDL. This changed in 1.3.

If he is trolling then I must commend him since its some good reading. If not lets hop his mum and dad never reproduced again!
