No Real News From E3???

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of any exciting news in relation to Elite Dangerous PC! Especially as we were told that there was going to be announcements in relation to the PC version! If CQC (as said by Frontier was to excite console gamers) was the big announcement, I'm very disappointed! I thought they would have revealed something big for the PC version, at least a preview/WIP video of one of the expansions, even a short roadmap for the rest of the year, but NOTHING, poor show Frontier, pardon the pun!

Well they did announce a whole different game, which is...weird considering they are still working on a load of features for ED. But ah well..

There was a Big announcement for ED on the PC ... and that was that we have to wait at least 5 months to play what was given to the X-box crowd ... (not that I want that addition myself) :)

I don't remember any specific mention that there would be announcements regarding the PC version?

We were only told that there would be some Elite news.

Regarding the PC version it has said there would be announcements in the "coming months".

Yeah, could someone please link to the pre-E3 comment about an announcement? I would like to see the exact wording for myself

(please link to the comment and not quote it here)

Tbh I wasn't expecting any news at E3 at all, until Frontier and certain well known ED streamers started getting excited about some announcement.

Which turned out to be non-existant. Winding us up for a laugh

I'm not disappointed in the lack of news specific to ED on the PC, because that was not promised. What I am disappointed about is the lack of information and news in general, because newsletter 79 and the twitch that Edward Lewis did with BadNewsBaron pre-E3 suggested there would be a lot more content.

Here's what newsletter 79 promised:

We'll be updating you throughout the show at the new community blog. We'll even show you our banner art among our other announcements.

Banner art?

but we'll be updating the new Community site from Monday and posting coverage throughout the week to our blog, Twitter andFacebook.

Just 3 blog entries. Nothing of any note on Twitter. I don't bother with the FB page now as most things are announced on Twitter.

Keep a close eye on all our channels and we'll let you know where to find us online. We'll be streaming on Twitch and a number of other places we can't reveal just yet, and we'll have some live appearances we can't announce until the show begins. Stay tuned.

We'll have masses of coverage for you

3 blog entries, a trailer on YouTube and a couple of (ED-specific) streams featuring David counts as masses of coverage? And when we did get news of a stream on Twitter, it was, in most cases, after the stream had started!

Why is that weird? They are a small studio sure, but are they only supposed to develop one game at a time? Most likely they will have different teams working on different games (but remember all the games will use their Cobra engine).
