so you eject it, listen, scoop jump, eject, listen, scoop and so on; maybe the sounds change, home in on the sounds as they speed up perhaps? and then BAM location confirmed by being torn to shreds by thargoids, I think this has to be the only way to decipher something where there's no agreed relative point or no predetermined biological similarities that enable language translation.
